I could be wrong but from what I remember Lizzie has NO tan lines.

And you are correct - fences are great for getting rid of tan lines, but they also keep those annoying people away too. You know those neighbours, the ones who come over, take advantage of your kindness, talk for an hour without anything intelligent to say and then leave.

I don't know TL, I think Adri may have been reliving some of her days as a Life Guard

Sounds like you know alot about those annoying people. We didn't really want to put up a fence, but they took advantage of our hospitality and pretty soon, the welcome wore out.

I got tired of finding their kids in my garage refrigerator raiding the ice pops. That was the last straw.

The biggest reason we put up the fence is privacy. As soon as I step foot out back, I have the three kids next door running over here. Which wouldn't be bad, but it's all the time. Then they just run over and open my fridge and just help themselves to whatever they want. Again, not terrible, if they'd just ask. And settle for one or 2. Their nanny, never watches them, so it's a break for her. I'd swear she encourages them, so she can sit on the phone.

I also want to make sure my guys can't run off the property either.

Besides, I don't want tan lines. LOL

I completely understand why you'd put up a fence. My neighbor's situation is a totally different one though -- he just hates everyone in the neighborhood (and possibly the whole world at this point). For whatever reason, he tore down all these high shrubs on his property line and put a fence (pretty much equally high) in it's place. It absolutely serves no purpose whatsoever. MIL talked to the guy building the fence yesterday -- turns out, he almost quit the job because said neighbor was driving him NUTS! He apparently insisted on examining EVERY board he used for the fence in order to approve of the wood.

Doesn't matter -- we're moving in less than two months.

At first we didn't want the fence, because we like the way the property looked without it. But now it does seem like more of the homes on the block are putting them up. Especially with a pool, you have to anyway.

Hey, good luck with your move. I forgot I saw your house pictures. We took pictures of our house being built every step of the way. Have a whole photo album of it. I think it has more pictures than Zachary's album.

Right now we have a little above ground pool that we put up temporarily. We're shopping around for an inground. Hopefully for next summer. Too much to do the first year.
