I was asked to post this when it came, so here it is. I sent an e-mail asking:

Message:
I have a question regarding your resort reservation policy in general. Could you please tell me the
WDW policy on making multiple reservations? In other words, can one person book more than one room
in their name using separate reservations for different resorts. This might happen if someone is
unsure which resort their party wants to stay at and will cancel one of the reservations later..
Could you please provide me with some iinformation about this policy? Thank you.

And they replyed:

Dear Ali,

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort.

The policy is that our agents are to only book one reservation per party for the same travel dates.
If you are unsure of which resort you would like to stay at, we can only hold one resort and not
both.

If you have additional questions or need further assistance, please feel free to contact us.

Please include your full name, E-Mail address, and reservation number if applicable on all
correspondence.

Thank you!

Sincerely,

Steve Davitt

Yep. It wouldn't be fair to other guests if they held 2 rooms for you for the same dates.

I agree. ::yes:: But I wasn't trying to do this. I was finding out as the result of an earlier discussion on here.

I wonder if the CM's gave the person an exception since they weren't sure if they would be a party of 4 or 5. That does make a big difference in where you can stay.

I think in her case, since the CM's told her to do it that way, they should accomodate her.

I guess in the future, in a situation like that, maybe make the reservation in two different names.

I still think that would be wrong. That's just trying to get around getting caught breaking policy. Besides, all that is irrelevant. I was simply cutting and pasting a response since there seemed to be some confusion surrounding the policy.
