I thought we had settled on a week in April for our first trip to WDW, but after plugging a few other dates in the Disney site, I'm second-guessing myself. :confused3 Our room (AMu Fam suites) would be about $25 cheaper per day (6 days) in Feb. Plus, our younger DD turns 3 in March, which means her ticket and buffet meals would be free in Feb., but not in April. We also have DD who will be 5. Overall, the savings would be about $500 in Feb.

You'd think that would make my decision easy, but I'm still weighing pros/cons for crowd size and weather -- both in the parks/swimming at resort, but it could also be a factor in us even getting to FL, since we will be flying from IL. I'd hate for a snowstorm in the Midwest to wipe out our entire vacation!

Is there anything else I should take into consideration? I'm looking for any advice/pros/cons you can offer. I know this board is full of experts! :thumbsup2 Thanks!

I would like to know what others think too
I was settle for Feb but worry about weather being too cold, we live in Northern Virginia and used to cold weather but thinking April would be a lot nicer? only con is the wait...I'm ready to go now :yay:

I had the same choice to consider, due to when my kids' school vacation is, but April definitely seems the better option... I want to be able to use the pool and get in at least one waterpark visit. In April, it seems a near certainty there'll be at least one good day for that. In February, it seems more likely it will be too cold.

If swimming is important to your family, I would strongly suggest April. I also agree that you may have less weather related problems at the airport in April than in February.

Can you plug in dates and get info at the web site?!?! I have been trying and keep getting errors! I use either a Mac or Vista - could that be the problem???

BTW, I would vote for April. We're going late April just because I don't want to worry about any chilly days.

I had a few problems with the site too. At first I was trying to price the packages, and when I would try to take "park-hopper" off my ticket options, the price would jump $1200! I couldn't figure it out. A 4-day or 6-day ticket were normal prices, but a 5-day ticket was way more. I know that can't be correct...

I ended up checking prices on rooms only, then changing dates with the "edit" button in the box on the right side of the screen (where it lists dates, number of adults, etc.) instead of using the back button to start over each time. That seemed to give me fewer problems. Keep trying, and good luck!
