WDW with your period?

In the last 2 years, I went to WDW 6 times, and had 6 periods. Guess when? I've learned to just live with it. Unfortunately, due to other health issues I am already on pretty heavy-duty narcotics and can't take any OTC pain relievers with them (and they don't touch the cramping) so I can't help much on that question but I just wanted to say that I can totally sympathize. OH -- and bring plenty of supplies!! I found out the hard way that pads/tampons are VERY expensive in WDW!!

Heck, hate to admit this on a public board, but I'm right there with you- except I have REGULAR ones, but for some reason, both trips to WDW, the darn thing showed up EARLY! And yeah- supplies are very very expensive there- but I ended up buying a ton since it seemed like I might have been dying (can humidity make periods worse?).

It really really sucked!

Aleeve is great!!!! Start taking right before your due to get AF. It will be more effective if you start before and keep taking every 12 hrs.

Have to agree! And you never have quarters when you need them! This is one area where Sea World wins...their "products" are sitting in a basket in the bathroom to take when you need. IMO, this is one area you REALLY don't need to nickel and dime!
I'm hooked on 800 motrin also, 3 times daily, and make sure one of those times is at bedtime, so you can start your day off right. Stay hydrated, and rest when you need to!

It looks like I am going to be on mine when we go next month as well! Boo HOo. I never had a problem w/periods until 4-5 months ago. Mine used to be light and only 1 day of not so bad cramps. Now they are suddenly VERY heavy for a few days. Very heavy! I am so worried about how to handle this at WDW. I am taking dd3 and ds6 alone and do not want to have to go to the restroom every 45 minutes w/them. Ugh!

You might ask your doctor about prescription Pontsel. I have several friends who take it for cramps ans swear by it.

FYI: If you decide to try the oral contraceptive route, make sure the pills are a strong enough dosage if you plan on going back-to-back packs. I was on a lo-dose Ortho tri-cyclen and 1/2 way thru the 2nd pack my body would sound the alarm and start my period mid-way thru the 2nd pack...no fooling it.

Brands like Seasonale, Quassense and Seasonique are specifically designed for taking 3 months straight...they even come packaged that way.

I have been divorced for 10 years and seem to be permanently single so sadly I only take B/C pills for the convenience of knowing my cycle to the day. I LOVE being able to look ahead and "tweek" my pills if there is a trip coming up and Aunt Flo is trying to tag along.
