Hello, my family and I have a WDW trip scheduled for Oct 28th - Nov 6th; unfortunately, I was in a car accident last week and ended up with 3 fractured ribs. Luckily, the trip is still a couple of weeks out, but I have been told it could take up to 3 months to fully heal.

Some friends and family think we should reschedule the trip, but I dont think that's necessary.

Does anyone have any past experience or recommendations on how to make it through a week at WDW without re-injuring my ribs?

Thank you.

I would post this on the disability board

you might not want to go on some of the roller coaster.

Geez, only a few weeks to heal fractured ribs? I know this isn't what you want to hear, but I'd probably reschedule when I could fully enjoy the trip. Best wishes to you for a speedy recovery!

Last year I was in a car accident 1 week before a trip to WDW. Nothing was broken, but I was banged up pretty good and had quite a few bruises, and was in pain just getting in and out of bed (but once I was up, it was much better). However, I still went to WDW as planned. I limited myself from several of my faves (any coaster, Star Tours, etc.), but I still had a great time. I was exhausted around 1-2pm each day and headed back to the resort to rest and regroup. Around 5, I was back up and at it again.

Bottom line: go, enjoy, but pace yourself and take time to rest and recover. I hope you feel better soon!
