Day Three Magic Kingdom and family
We awoke again for an early entry into the Magic Kingdom. We stood in line a good bit waiting to get in the park. Brooke was antsy with that, but once inside seemed to calm down quite a bit. We headed to Fantasyland. I rode the Carousel with Brooke while Cindy shot pictures. She seemed to enjoy the wind in her hair. Once at Its a Small World her eyes lit up. The fountains in the entry area were eye catching. Funny how the little things us big kids overlook entrance the younger ones. She sat still throughout the boat ride, but seemed a little tired of the dolls and song ¾ of the way there (..and how the little kids pick up on the big kids thinking as well!!). We then hopped down to Winnie the Pooh. I was a little concerned about the bouncing through the Tigger portion of the ride. That was not a problem, she enjoyed it and smiled quite a bit. It looked like Tigger was becoming a favorite She had a little bit of a fit in the Pooh shop, she need to stretch her legs. So, we gave her that opportunity. We then went to Buzz Lightyear and rode this. Brooke had fun shooting the gun. Of course when the control was taken from us, she figured out the joystick to rotate us. Had the line been short, we would have ridden again for her to control the car. Oh well Visit in August and you miss out on those opportunities.
We then moved on to Adventureland. We wanted to do the Tiki Birds. They were not open yet. So, we rode Aladdins Carpets. I was afraid the heights would bother Brooke. Wrong again Dad. She enjoyed going up and down. The only thing she did not like was when the camel spit on us. It was getting really warm this morning so we stopped for an orange slushie. That helped a lot. We tried the Country Bears, but that was delayed in opening. Back to Tikis, line was long. Well OK, well go try Pirates. Again, I was nervous, again I was wrong. She seemed to take this all in, and especially loved the dog with the keys in his mouth. The warmth and her need to get some exercise sent us back to the other side of the park for Toon Town. Brooke so baldy wanted to steal all those strollers lined up so she could push them around! Once we distracted her and took her to Minnies House, she enjoyed wandering. We visited Mickeys house and did more wandering (ahh there is some air conditioning). I set off an alarm leaning over a rail to see what was playing on Mickeys TV. Brooke laughed, Cindy was embarrassed
After seeing how long the line for Mickey was, we skipped out and headed to Tomorrowland. Here things started to fall apart one last time.
We went to Cosmic Rays for lunch. Brooke was not up for this. It was nap time and she was going to let us know. We struggled through eating and calmed Brooke. Cindy insisted I go to EPCOT while she took Brooke to the room. I was worried about their bus ride, but Cindy said she fell asleep. I hopped a monorail (waving at Brooke and Cindy down below!) and went to go check out Mission Space. Finally I get to ride an adult ride! What an amazing ride this was. I enjoyed it a lot! I went over to check out Figment since I knew this was redone. It is MUCH better than version 2. Not as good as version 1, but an improvement for sure. I then considered going to buy our favorite cookies in Canada but decided to save my feet, go grab some Coke (and SNOW!) and head back.
As I walked to the bus I called my Grandparents and Aunt who were arriving from St Augustine. We were going to meet them for the afternoon. Tip dont try the cell phone under the bus depot. They wont hear you and youll just yell louder.
We did finally meet my family and spent time in the room with Brooke opening packages (no one can visit Broke without packages these days!). We had a good time visiting and went to the resort mess hall for a nice dinner. We then went back to the room for more visiting. Brooke played chase with Great Grandpa and showed off her toys. We watched a little bit of Little League baseball before family had to leave. Whoops, its raining and HARD! A little creative umbrella making happened and everyone got packed in the car safely. We went back to our room and rested. A few days of rushing around were taking their toll and rest was in order. We watched some TV, wrassled, and generally relaxed. It was an early night for most of us and we TRIED to sleep in!
