There was a nice review today in the Wall Street Journal of wine tasting with dining at WDW. The authors of the Journal's regular wine tasting column go to WDW every year with their kids and this is the 2nd review they have done.

Of note, they ate at the chef's table at Victoria's & Alberts with the wine pairing and found it to be the one of the best meals with the best pairings they had ever had. They found the wine that was paired with the asparaus dish was particularly interesting. At $65 for 8 glasses of wine, they also thought that this was a bargain. Of course, they also had to pay $150 each for the meal, making the dinner for 4 cost about the same as airfare from NY, but they noted it was much more enjoyable.

They also thought that most of the wines offered at most of the restaurants were too overpriced. Wines you can routinely buy for about $10 a bottle, sold for around $30 in the restuarants like Cape May and Whispering Canyon! The best "bargains" were in the $45-$65 per bottle range at the more exclusive restaurants like Jiko, California Grill and Artist's Point.

I think you can get a trial membership to the online edition for free if you are interested in reading the article.

Its actually not bad....standard markup is 2.5x. So a $10 bottle should go for $25 in a restaurant and WDW sells it for $30. Thats a little high, but not out of the realm of reasonableness, considering their audience.
