We will be in the world briefly, just this weekend Sat-Sunday (maybe Friday!) :cool1:
and once again the cold weather will be swooping into Florida.

The wedding we're attending will be okay (inside) but who has been at WDW during the recent cold snaps this winter?

Its sounding like a chilly, possibly rainy few days, ugh.

While we'll still have a great time (it IS the world afterall!:thumbsup2 LOL) but any advice or encouragement out there? Would greatly appreciate it :confused3

Just bring your own ponchos. You can get them much cheaper at your local grocery store or convenience store. Also bring some sort of hoddie in case it gets cool. Have a great time! :)

Bring clothes to layer with! We were there in March last year, and were anticipating 70 degree days based on forecasts and history. It ended up being more like in the 50s, with a LOT of wind - it was cold!! We weren't prepared for cold like we should have been...definitely have appropriate clothing with you!

I will be there next Monday, need to decide what to pack I guess, and get some pachos

Bring decent rain gear (not those cheap throw away ponchos with the consistency of dry cleaner bags). Dress in layers in case it warms up as the day progresses. Stop for a nice cup of coffee or hot chocolate if you're cold. I much prefer touring the parks when it's cool vs hot. You don't tire out nearly as quickly and dehydration isn't as much of a rish.

You won't melt and you won't freeze. Enjoy your vacation.

Upper 70's isn't chilly? :confused3 The forecast I am looking at for this weekend is upper 70's and partly cloudy, with very little chance of rain.

I see low as 57 so guess your right not that bad

That sounds great! Would love upper 70s!! :cool1:

But the weather Channel said low of 46 and high of 69 for Friday and Saturday ..... :confused3

Maybe it's changed since I saw it earlier today?

weather.com is saying 51/69 for Friday
57/76 for Saturday and Sunday.,

Absolutely perfect late February/first weekend of March weather.
Wear a light jacket or hoodie for the AM and you'll be shedding the layers.

They are guessing.

Pack and dress in layers. Don't try and guess the weather or listen to someone else guess. Pack for a variance of conditions.

This is the time when locals go to the parks; lines are much shorter. Try hot liquids and extra layers for evening parades and fireworks. Let this work to your advantage.

Personally, I would love those kind of temperatures for touring WDW, and I'm not saying that just because where I am we're experiencing yet another round of sub-zero weather. I was at WDW in December one year where the weather was mostly hoodie and jeans weather (the first two days were T-shirt and shorts weather) and I discovered that I really prefer the cooler temps.

We were there this time last year, and it was crazy weather! Started the trip off in shorts and tees with light jackets. By the end of our trip (like March 2), it was about 50 degrees and a 25 mph sustained wind. I had NOT prepared for wind! We had layered, but we were one of many who ended up buying a towel to serve as a blanket for our little one.

Ditto this! We went first week of March last year and I said never again (we go in May this year) since the weather can be very uncertain. Don't get me wrong we've been last weekend in March and it was HOT HOT HOT. I guess it is luck of the draw the earlier you are in the year.

We watched the forcast for the week and packed some warmer stuff but not a lot. We ended up going to Target to pick up some long sleeve shirts for the girls and some sweatpants.

We only got one 70 degree day to do pool otherwise, the wind wiping around made the 60 degree day feel much cooler.

Shoot! 69 degrees is swimming weather for us! LOL.
We have visited WDW from Oct. to Feb. and every month has unpredictable weather. Our routine has always been to wear hoodies, pants, and tee's, and by the afternoon, the hoodies are in the stroller, and we are wishing we wore shorts instead.
I'm looking at the forecast for our trip in a week, and it looks beautiful. Remember when it says rain for WDW, it usually means for an hour in the afternoon, not all day. Even the lows are higher than our high's so I'll take 'em!
