Can someone please explain to me why there are so many people on the Dis who are against Disney/Pixar movies because they do not depict the "American family" = 2 parents and 2 children! I do not know about the rest of you but there were a lot of good points made in Nemo that children and parents can both learn from. I won't say too much as I am sure that a lot of you have yet to see the flick. There are a lot of people on this borad who seriously need a reality check

These idiots are going on and on how Disney can only produce movies that have some disaster, death, what ever in it. There was however one guy who came in and said that all children fairy tales are filled with guts and horror as is the bible. He made the most sense.

First off: You know - without that stuff there's realy no point to telling the story. We might as well have movies about watching paint dry or grass grow - it will be just as interesting as having no protaginistic aspect to the story.

Second off: why do they single out Disney - EVERY SINGLE STUDIO makes movies like this. "Oh, but Disney is supposed to be a family company." HAVE YOU PEOPLE SEEN SNOW WHITE??!!?? Walt Disney killed Bambi's Mother for crying out loud!!!

You know, we all grew up with Bambi's mother dying, toy guns that looked like real guns, and video games - and we all turned out just fine. I don't know what happened to this generation of parents that wants to be 'friends' with their kids and not take responsibility for them or themselves. Where did we go wrong?
