Good Monday Morning everyone. Hope Madonna has recovered from all of her Hard Lemonades from Saturday night (do those things give you heartburn like they do to me?).
How was everyone's weekend?

Good Morning AP! I enjoyed your pictures, thank you for sharing them.
I'm sore today from the batting cages yesterday. It's a great way to work out frustrations, but ouchy I don't remember usually getting this sore. I must be out of shape.
Oh and the weather here today is overcast, upper 60s and a great chance of rain.
Glad I could entertain all of you.
Jas - batting cages - good idea! I was never very good at baseball (or softball) but that sounds like an excellent idea for stress-busting. I'll have to try it some time.

Jwill - that's the very thing that has kept me from playing that sport - I was always very, very afraid of being hit. I guess that's why I stuck to volleyball (when I played round-equipment-necessary sports) because at least it didn't knock me out when it hit me in the head.
Did everyone have a good weekend (we know Madonna had a good Saturday night, hopefully not followed by an ill Sunday morning)?

You can pick the speed of your pitches. I hung out with the kids in the 45 mph baseball one. I was going to move up to the 50 mph cage but the line was too long and I have no patience. I also tried out the slow pitch and fast pitch softball ones even though I HATE SOFTBALL. I don't know why I subject myself to that but I guess I need to torture myself. I don't like the thought of getting hit by a ball that's why the unmanned machine is so nice...most of the pitches are in the same area, not some person making wild pitches. I never played in organized sports, I just like to go out at hit some balls every once in a while.
oh no, I was very brave. I didn't even wear a batting helmet. I was thinking that a hit in the head would have done me some good. But I made it through with out getting hit.
Holy Cow Jas! Have a bad week/weekend? I'm personally glad you took no -- uh -- round sports equipment to the head. I am not going to set myself up for a ticket from the WDWWDS Keep It Clean Police.

As far as stress relief, isn't it better to take a bat and beat on the source of your stress, be it significant other, in-law, boss, neighbor, what have you, rather than a poor defenseless ball?
Did someone mention volleyball?? Ahh my favorite sport to play. Just curious AP, how'd you manage to spike? You can jump, eh?
You know - I truly have lost count of the amount of times that certain WDWWDS members make use of the word *eh*...and they say that "it's a Canadian thing"??!
Guess what? We are getting another snow fall this evening!!! This time from Oklahoma (never did like those athletics)...25 cm (about a foot to the metric challenged) WOO HOO!!! I say we have a slew of whip-a-rieta's to celebrate the occasion!!!! psst do I need to put a smiley here so that you guys know that I am joking and I really DONT like snow?!?
Hmmm I think I see a WDWWDS Volleyball tornament in our future. I love volleyball. I'm not that great, but I can serve like you wouldn't believe. I can't spike, and I don't block, so that may be all I am good for. But I really do enjoy playing it.
