Be *very* careful what you ask for. You might just get it! :p Oh, it looks like you sorta have. ;) Just don't fall down on the ice. Wouldn't want you getting stuck to it sitting down like that, now, would we? :p

I agree w/ Higgs. Where are the pics? I wanna see! I wanna see! I wanna see! I wanna see!

Merry Christmas everyone!!

I was lucky enough to witness the feat in person. Yay for me!
His straw was very... erm.... let's see.... capable of handling the Rivers of America. It even had a filter!

Jay, I'm not even going to ask how I would get..... too late! Visual picture has already clouded my pure mind.;) ;)

So what's the official Team Slogan and Mascot?

No longer a pure mind? Hmmm... you must have been hanging around OT too long.... ;) :p

Let's see... team mascot... the ice cube? No, not the rapper/musician...

Team slogan? "We'll kick your ice!" :p

You know, there's even a song out there called, yes, I Wanna Drive the Zamboni Then again, I'm sure our CC hockey fans already knew that.... ;)

We can certainly have one of the "Ice" rappas sing the team theme song...be it T, Cube or Vanilla.

Go ahead mrsap, you know you want to say it. His straw was very long....as in, "Is that a WDWWDS extend a straw in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?"

"We'll kick your ice!" I like it. Or maybe, "Lick my ice"

Oh my, OT Went There! Now you've opened up a whole new can of worms.
Gee - ice hockey--- need I even go into all the jokes about High Sticking?
And which WDW water source would be the Ultimate Official Water of the Ice Waters? That's a very big honor, you know.

Hi gang, it's good to be here. I am excited about my new post. My coaching experience is nil but will give it my best shot. I will be a player coach since I still have some good years ahead of me, or untill I break my leg again ( third times a charm).

I like the cheerleader idea, we should probably work on this first.

Cross training will include touring the parks at an accelerated pace, stopping frequently to stay hydrated with the various water sources naturally. We could start with a drink at Splash Mountain then run to Adventureland and sample some fine Jungle Cruise water and go from there.

This is the link for the team I presently play for. The ages of our team varies from 20-46.

I will officially offer my services to the WDWWDS ice hockey team (at one of the forward positions, hopefully -- center or winger). I have studied the game for years, including closely following the 1999 Stanely Cup champion Dallas Stars (I even have my pic w/ Bret Hull & one of me & Mike Modano). :teeth: While a nasty back injury has limited my previous ice time, I have since had it corrected and am ready to go. But one day I'll just need to learn how to skate backwards. Minor detail.... ;)

Hey, let's just make sure our club doesn't go the way of the previous team in Orlando. They won the IHL championship a few yrs back, but the following off season, the league folded and took the Orlando Solar Bears with it. :( Yep, the Solar Bears... An ice skating, hockey playing polar bear. Hey, If a *penguin* can do it, why not a bear? :p

Congratulations Jim on your induction:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: Way to go ... And aren't the waters of Lake Nuangola delicious and tasty too? Granted not as wonderful as the waters of WDW but good enough to train on ... I should know since I spent summers at that particular lake when I was a child:smooth:

Love the ice hockey team ... and the cheerleading too. Gotta have a special promotion ... let me give that some thought.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

Disneyjen: I have sampled those waters when I rolled a jet ski there but nothing compares to the refreshingness of some 20k leagues lagoon.

Thats pretty neat that you were at that lake, half of my team lives there.

A hockey team...cool...I'll play goalie, since I'm not that strong of a skater...

Just wanted to say have a Merry Christmas everyone!

2003 will be a big year for the WDWWDS :)

I'll just sit on the bench and watch the cheerleaders and female players wearing the thongs. It ought to be fun seeing them climb over the boards during a line change too.

Please tell me that you left your binoculars at home, OT.:p
And I'm envisioning a halftime routine similar to the "Water Dance" sequence in Flashdance --- how does that sound?:p :p

My oh my did Jim open up a huge can of worms... so do we know yet what teams we will be playing?
-MrsAPalm

Yeah I forgot my binoculars, but I do have my camera with a 300mm zoom lens and 30 rolls of film.

Water Dance, huh? Lemme get a glass to catch the splashes...no use wasting good water. My question is, are you really doing the dancing yourself or is it going to be some stand-in who shows up down the road trying to steal your fame?

I use no stunt doubles, baby! Why let someone else get in my spotlight?:p Speaking of which, who's gonna man the spotlight for this liquid little number?
-MrsAPalm

With entertainment like this who needs the game!
Manning the spotlights, that would call for a stage crew. We may get into some union issues.

disregard editing, I'm experimenting with posting images on the Swiss Family ship issue.

Attention please....attention please!! Important announcement!!

{drum roll}

After the longest period of trial membership, I am happy to welcome MK to the WDWWDS. Her title is VP of Guest Relations - Orlando. She will be working out of the newly renovated Executive Hideout in the castle at the Magic Kingdom. Her responsibilities will include management of all the WDWWDS promotional activites at the parks, i.e. information desks, kiosks, meet and greets, and special events. She will be working closely with our marketing and Member Services staff to create a dominant WDWWDS presence in the parks.

And now I'd like to present our newest VP to say a few words...err....oh crap. {psst....someone get a step stool, she can't reach the podium...}

:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Congratulations MK!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I'm so proud of you, sacrificing your home life for the sake of the WDWWDS --- you are a real trooper and if others shun you, you will always have a home here (and you can shack up at my place). They may not understand, but we do.;) ;) And Yay For Short People!

:) Congratulations MK!!!! :)

Now we just need to get your tag updated. ;)

:bounce: Congratulations Magickndm on your prestigious new post.

On anoter note: Pages back T-shirts were mentioned with a WDWWDS logo on them. Will they be available from our company store for the summer vacation season?

Oh yeah....another one who thinks she's short.....I've now seen the both of you and neither of you are what I'd consider short. Besides, "tall" is overrated. The smaller you are, the easier it is to drink WDW water....your extend-a-straw doesn't have to be as long and it doesn't require as much energy to suck the water through. As long as you're over 48" tall that's all that matters. Otherwise you can't ride every attraction. And we've all heard the urban legend of the tall guy who got decapitated on the Matterhorn, right?

As for being shunned at home, may I suggest you slip WDW water into their food? Over a period of time they will acquire the taste for such fine beverages and before you know it they'll all be drinking out of fountains.
