We are going to WDW in May, staying at POR. Was wondering if anyone who has gone with just their older childen could tell me what they enjoyed the most. What park did they want to spend the most time in. Where they enjoyed eating the most. We are going with DD (21), DDBF (21), DS (20), and DS (16). We are making res. for Spirit of Aloha, but not sure where else we would like to eat. We have done Prime Time in the past but would like to try something different.

Hi. My kids are much younger, so I can't say for sure. At that age, I would've loved some time at DTD -- Disney Quest. Honestly, a whole building full of video games still appeals to me, and I just turned 41. :rotfl: It might also be worthwhile looking on the teen and college boards to see what they like.

Most of my children are teens now. They enjoy DTD the most, especially DQ. We will be very sad if they decide to close it! And believe it or not, they really love Magic Kingdom for all the rides and shows and Epcot for shopping. Each park has a little something for them. AK is really not their favorite but their 10 year old brother loves it so they have to go! I think your children will really enjoy DTD, Epcot and MK. MGM is fun because of TOT and RNR but really that is all that the kids do enjoy. Though I was surprised last time they all wanted to hit Great Movie Ride again.

Trust me, there is something for everyone!

My kids are 25, 23, ad 21 and still love Disney. What I realized very early on
is that they have a great time if I just let them go. They love all the parks
but have their favorites in each one. They liked DQ and HDDR. We stay at
SSR because of the close proximity to DTD. It all worked out great as long as
I relinquished some "control". :thumbsup2

I have 3 young teens. They love all things disney, so I'm not much help to you. I have to believe though, that DTD would be good for the oder ones. Also, perhaps a water park.
My DH and teens love Sci-Fi for food at MGM. Maybe Planet Hollywood also.
Good luck.

As my kids got older, they enjoyed the water parks more than the rides at the parks. They are also getting into the restaurants more with the adult themes. Next trip will include dinner at some of the upscale places on the DDP. Ohana's, China, France, Le Cellier in Canada. etc.

They also want to do the motor boats and the race car thing...what is it called?? Dale Earnhardt experience or whoever it is. They have to save up their own $$ for that! :teeth:
