WDW w/a new baby?

We took my daughter Shannon on her first Disney trip when she was 10 months old. We had a great time! She loved the characters and she went on so many rides. I think it is so easy to take infants (except for packing all the babygear!)

In January, we took my son for his first trip. He was 7 months old and he loved it too. He is more reserved and laid back than his sister, so he didn't love the characters like she did, but it was so fun to watch him just take everything in. We had him in a Baby Bjorn a lot, he was so cute...he would laugh when it was breezy and the wind blew at his face. So many people would comment on what a happy baby he was!

Now, we are taking our most adventurous trip yet. We leave on Tuesday for my daughter Grace's first trip. She is five months old. She is a calm easy baby, so I am hoping for the best, but I am definitely plans on lots of breaks and just going with the flow.

I will let you know how this trip turns out, but IMO, the younger the child, the easier it is to travel. They nap in the stroller and being in Disney makes you slow down and appreciate all the little details.

Great thread. We're taking our DD who will be 7 months old at the time.

We ended up buying her a seat on the plane, but I'll also have her in a Baby B'Air for when she's being held if necessary. We are also now staying at the Poly for the convenience of the monorail since we'll be at the MK and Epcot for the most part. I wasn't sure how she'd sleep overnight in a pack n play so we're renting a full size crib and Exersaucer from A Baby's Best Friend. Definitely taking our Jeep carrier which she likes a lot. I am also going to buy some baby supplies from Garden Grocer and arrange for us to have some adult time by getting a Kids Nite Out sitter one night so we can eat at Le Cellier and ride some thrill rides. The other meals are mainly character ones or at our hotel. Even prepared to ask for take out from Kona Cafe if necessary.

This trip will be at her pace and we're looking forward to just spending time with her at our favorite place.

Hope you have a great trip!

That's the right attitude. That's the way we approached our Oct trip and had a blast!
