Okay, Im a Disney purist. I LOVE Walt Disney the man and the history and have longed wanted to visit Disneyland.

My question is, having been to WDW a hundred times or more, what advice do you have for someone visiting DL for the first time?

I'll be solo on this trip as I'm basically taking a 1 to 2 day venture away from a business trip to go here.

I'd LIKE to stay at a DL resort but I know nothing truly about them (though I've read a little). Is there a resort that looks into the DL property (or is it just DLCA)?

Just overall what advice do you have so I can make the most of it?

Definitely hit some of the rides not at WDW.
-Indiana Jones (like Dinosaur, but better IMO)
-Alice in Wonderland (Fantasyland dark ride)
-Mr. Toad (Fantasyland dark ride)
-Pinocchio (Fantasyland dark ride)
-Matterhorn (roller coaster through a giant mountain)
-Roger Rabbit (Toontown dark ride)
-Pirate's Lair (Tom Sawyer Island with a heavy Pirates theme)
-Nemo (submarines, however if you only have a couple days, you might not see the line die down for this one)
-Monster's Inc. at DCA (dark ride)
-Grizzly River Run at DCA (better than Kali at Animal Kingdom)

And then there are the rides at both parks with significant differences.
-Space (2 seats across, music, complete darkness through entire ride)
-Pirates (includes several other scenes not in the MK version. The better of the two by far)
-Buzz Lightyear (removable guns makes for easier aiming)
-Autopia (better than the waste of space car ride at MK. This one goes off roading, has much more stuff to look at, and weaves through more greenery.)
