Hi everyone!

I'm planning a trip for Jan '09 and will have many questions since I haven't been to DL in 40 years!

There will be 3 or 4 of us in town for a convention. My duty is to reserve a room at either DL Hotel, Paradise Pier or Grand Californian. We're limited to those choices since we're staying on DVC points.

My questions (for today :rotfl2: ) are: which has the largest rooms? And do they charge extra for putting a refrigerator in the room?

TIA! I've already learned alot from lurking around here. And I'll be back!

Depending on the location in the hotel, DLH and GCh have pretty much the same size rooms. I would almost venture to say that GCH is a little bit smaller.

Fridges are standard in all hotels - no extra charge.

We stay on DVC there about twice to 3 times a year. If you have enough points, ask them about the lock-off rooms at DLH. You can get two rooms next to each other that lock off together - similar to a 2BR without the full kitchen. Each of the two rooms has it's own lock off, too. We did one in the Wonder Tower for 2 families and a friend and it was great!

Thanks, Nancy!

My points are limited due to an August '09 WDW "obligation" :rotfl2:
I like the idea of 2 adjoining rooms - but we won't be in the room except to sleep!

Amen to that Sister - 2BR at OKW on January 3.....

And we just found out the other family is probably going to bail (for good reasons).....

Sorry to hear about your possible bail-out! You might be able to rent that
ressie on the DVC board.

Sending you a PM, too!

Nah - no renting for us. If I can't convert it to a 1BR, we'll see if other friends want to go. If not, then we'll have more room to ourselves! It is value season!!!
