I am trying to decide between WDW and Beaches at Turks and Caicos. Anyone been to this resort who can give your opinion? I think the Beaches vacation would be slightly more expensive, or just about the same.

It would be a no brainer: WDW except dh isn't that fond of WDW but will go if I push it. It would be nice to plan a vacation that he can look forward to as well.

So, what do you think? Beaches at Turks and Caicos or WDW?? We have a 2 year old and a 6 year old.

Since you've been to WDW for the past 4 years, throw your DH a bone and go to Beaches. We went when my oldest were 2 and 4 for my sister's wedding, and it was amazing!

Thanks so much. I just worry about going somewhere and wishing I would have just gone to WDW -- because there is sooo much to do for both kids and adults at WDW. But I do feel bad for dh so I'm thinking of trying something new for him.

Beaches Turks and Caicos for a change hands down.:thumbsup2 The resort is incredible the food is outstanding and nobody will be bored. If you do decide to go there I can tell you about the different villages and restaurants we ate at.

I have found Beaches is much more expensive but worth it.

I would LOVE to get any info you have! Is this truly an all inclusive resort or do they charge you for little stuff like decent liquor, snacks, etc.?

Thank you!

I've always wanted to go but find it's at least double the price. Of course, we generally stay at a value or occasionally a moderate at WDW and don't spend much on souveniers but...

If you can swing it, I definately agree T&C for a change of pace and of course brownies points can't hurt:laughing:

It is truly an all inclusive.::yes:: Top shelf liquor, gourmet restaurants and very attentive service. This all inclusive we found had the most offered included in the price. We have been to Iberostar, Paradisius, and Dreams all inclusives, and Beaches blew them all away.

They have three villages that are themed. The Italian Village is the newest, French Village and Caribbean Village. They offer an enormous selection of room categories. Can be confusing! I believe once or twice a year they have a major sale, that would be the time to book.

You can participate in activities all day and all night or you can do your own thing, I loved that! Scuba, snorkeling, water-park, the most beautiful blue water you have ever seen. They have beach parties and I think like 15 or so restaurants. Its close to the airport too.

My favorite is the French Village. The Italian Village is beautiful but I loved the laid back pool area at the French Village.

More than a few times we tried to tip and it was refused. That's never happened to us anywhere else.

We went with extended family that included children from 1-16 years old and adults. Each one of us are ready for a repeat visit.

Everyday they have a Sesame Street parade - it was great!:thumbsup2

If you have specific questions just ask. :)

Definetly Beaches Turks and Caicos. We have taken the kids twice. Once before DD was born. DS was 2.
Then again when DD was 15 months and DS was 7.

As others have stated, Beaches is amazing. You will love it. There is alot to do or nothing to do.

Any questions, feel free to PM me.

Thank you everyone for your input! It looks like if we get one basic room, it would run us about 5k for 7 nights. However, I'd love to get a 1 bedroom since our 18 month old is not a good sleeper and goes to bed early. That would be closer to 7k. Ouch!
