WDW "Vacation A Day" Contest!

Not sure if I read about the browsers in the rules or if it was in the small print on the entry page, but I read something to the effect that it was recommended that entrants use different browsers if multiple people are using the same computer. As we only have one computer at home, we have been using different browsers to each enter.

This could have been more of a caution as cached items will sometimes fill in, resulting in two people accidentally submitting duplicate entries when they were supposed to be unique.

Um it is now 3:33 and I see NO email from Ventura. What are they waiting for?

Also someone I know who won said she thinks (don't know how she knows this but I don't think she is just guessing) the day entered and won is about 5-7 days before they told her...so we have until the end of the first week of February to give up hope. Maybe!

Maybe all the entries were placed into lettered groups and they pull a winner from one of the groups? I watched how they pick the HGTV dream house winner one year and that's how they did it. Who knows!? Congrats, though! So if you won for Jan 1, which day were you notified?

Depending on what email client the email was sent from the J could actually be a Smily face. Like : ) (without the space). MS Outlook replaces the colon/bracket Smily with an actual happy face character that doesn't always translate depending on how the user views the email. In cases that the user doesn't see the Smily character it's represented by a capital J. So yes, it could mean Jan 1. Or it could just be a typo. Or any number of other things.

You've solved a mystery for me! I always receive emails with J s all over the place. I knew it was something not translating, but never know what exactly. Thanks!

Doesn't really make sense though because didn't we already have at least 3 winners before the 27th? I wonder if she was an alternate winner which would explain the delay.
