I'm looking for a favor for anyone who is heading down to WDW soon. Another DIS member recently stayed at the Beach Club Villas and was going to make a tape of the WDW (zippidy-doo-daa, tip for today) channel, but found out upon arrivals that the BCV's have dvd's in the rooms, rather than vcr's. They were pretty down about this, as well as me.

Now here's the favor. If anyone is heading for WDW soon and is either staying at another DVC that have vcr's in the room or are bringing their own, could someone make a copy for me? I would, of course, pay for the video and shipping costs.

Could someone help me here? PLEASE?????

Do you know if the studio rooms at OKW have a VCR? If they do, I will tape it for you. I would like to have a copy myself. I LOVE that channel.

this may seem like a silly question..but i've never stayed onsite before, so i've got an excuse! what channel is this on?

thanks!

what channel is this on?

I think it is somewhere between 15 & 20. I'm not sure. There is just something about that channel! ;)

I love that channel, too! When I am at WDW, I play it for background noise, and listen to it over and over and over.....

Every now and then, I will hear DH sing out loud, "Zip A Dee Doo Da, Tip for Today!" :teeth:

chellnjr,

Not sure if OKW has vcr's since I have never stayed there, but will call WDW today to find out and will let you know. Thanks!

Called OKW directly and confirmed that they have vcr's not dvd players. She said because the BCV are brand new, they installed dvd players in those rooms.

I don't remember what channel it is, but my son (who was 2 1/2 his last trip) says the "zippy-do-da channel is 18"! But my husband and myself couldn't remember. Go figure!!

Are you sure about the studios...Im sorry, not trying to be mean, but I would be so bummed if when you got there they did not :(

Hi all:

To get your Disney fix while at home, check out Live 365's Mouse World Network on the Internet:

<a href="http://www.live365.com/cgi-bin/directory.cgi?genre=search&searchdesc=disney">click here</a>

It's a radio station that plays sounds and music from the theme parks (as well as the "Zippady-doo-dah Tip for Today"). Ever listen to ALL of the Country Bear Jamboree at home? You can now.

Just let them download their player to your PC and you're set to go. There are actually a number of different Disney radio stations available there, but our favorites are Mouse World Network and Mouse Info Radio.

Enjoy!

OKW studios do not have VCRs. 1 and 2 BR units do have VCR's.

I'm not sure about the vcrs in okw 1 and 2 bedrooms, but I remember that the vcr (well, actually vcp I guess) in a ft. wilderness cabin was only a player, and would not record.

ditto on the VCP. The video players are just that and will not record. Not sure about other resorts but at FW they have VCPs
