WDW trippie 08 :) Day 2 Tusker house/CP

After setting my wake-up call for micky last night & being wished ''magical dreams' I lay awake awaiting the call!! NO MICKY Got a Mary Poppins song instead & never got micky the whole stay - have to say was a bit dissapointed with that!

DD had also woke me up at 2am to tell me she was feeling better!!

Last time we did a b/fast at AK it was restaurantasaurus a thingy!!!
So Tusker House was new to us. (mum & dad dint come on this meal) had a ADR for 8.05 & were seated quickly - i spotted Neil who we'd had last time & who had made my dads trip & also converted him to a disney holic like me Cant remember the server we had this time but she was nice.
This trip was also for DD's b/day, which was just after our stay but we let her wear a b/day badge, she got a lovely cup cake, a very healthy breakfast eh!

Had arranged to meet mum & dad outside at 9am & we found them easily, we headed for the safari, then EE - i love this ride also saw the new Nemo musical - this made me cry I think it kinda hit me i was 'home' then!! We took mum on Bugs Life for the 1st time - she was terrified We did the raft ride to cool off & boy did we cool off!!

We left at 2pm & went back to pop for a swim
We then left mum & dad & arranged to meet them later at MK after our next ADR for CP dinner
As we got to the check-in it was getting very dark & thunder could be heard, we had to wait quite a while to be seated & as we waited i think half the park decided to shelter where we were stood, i was getting pretty fed up stood squashed & we had a good 1/2 hr wait, finally we got in!
Had a very nice server - again i cant remember his name - i ment to write them down & DD got yet another b/day cup cake & a card from winnie, tigger & the gang
The food was lovely - i had read a lot about the red velvet cheesecake but i thought it looked aweful & wasnt tempted to try it so i had the warm apple cobbler OMG this was to die for & i never tasted better the whole trip!!
We met mum & dad after dinner, Spectro magic was running late due to the rain so we decided togo on a few rides, just as we were walking through frontier land Spectro started - we had a perfect view!! The little fish kept coming back to me & winking - i've never cracked off with a fish before!!

Now the one thing i'd really been looking forward to was watching wishes with my mum as she had never seen it but because Spectro came on late wishes was almost straight after it. We dashed down to mainstreet & it was packed, i didnt enjoy the spot we stood in, people were walking out of the park & castmembers were waving glowing sticks about & 1 cast member was shouting all the way through it ''this way please'' Now i know they need to get people out safely (but for the life of me how can anyone turn their back on Wishes & walk out!!) but i'd had this little dreamlike fantasy in my head for months how me, mum & DD were all going to link arms & watch the fireworks through my rose coloured glasses! BUT i knew we would be watching it again & i planned on it being a much better view!!

It sounds like Leanne had a great 'birthday' and that you had some nice meals too.

Shame about Wishes being ruined for you. What date were you there ? As I know that Epcot cancelled IlluminNations at least once when the storm passed through

Princess Fiona - the dress was from a little local shop, thanks for the compliment I actually got some of CM's at MK too

Mandy - we were at Universals RPR when Fay hit, it was just a regular quick thunder storm at MK

everyone else - dont feel too bad for me about wishes - i got to se it 3 more times - you'll hear about those later on

Off to do my next installment - i cant believe i'm managing to keep on top of this TR!!!

I agree that dress is ever so lovely. The photo with you and Gary is very special but so too is the one with your mum on the balcony. You all look like you really are having a magical time. What an absolutely brilliant start to your vacation.

Lovely day, I love Wishes shame you missed it this day but sounds like you made up for it later in the holidays. I just hate the crowds on a night at MK leaving the park.
