WDW Trip T-shirts

We are thinking of getting matching t-shirts for our next vacation to WDW in November...what service have you used to print your t-shirts? How did they come out?

Also, we want to put some sort of Mickey-and-friends-in-front-of-Cinderella's-castle type of picture on the shirt...any pictures you recommend? Thanks so much for your help!

I will preface this with ~ we are super Disney dorks!!! but....we always have several days where we wear matching t-shirts. Day 1 ( arrival day) we always wear our "we're going to disneyworld" t-shirts for the plane ride, which we ordered on disneystore.com...

For our other matching tshirts, we often display hometown team pride, with Red Sox and Patriots t-shirts, and we will often find matching unisex themed t-shirts at the Disney store.

Matching t-shirts make for awesome photos.

I would suggest moving this thread to the Creative DISigns board. They have lots of experience with making custom tshirts as well as a lot of custom graphics available for use.

For once I have to say....DO NOT USE disneystore.com!

My Mother ordered our family trip of 20 coordinated shirts for our upcoming June trip. Each family member is a Disney character and then she simply wanted each shirt to say the same thing "XXXXX Family Vacation". Since all of us are married and she didn't want the son-in-laws to feel awkward she put each families on the next line (XXXXX Family). Well when she was designing it online it all fit. When she viewed the shirt, it all fit. When they came they were all wrong.

She called disneystore.com and they stated based on the character you choose it changes how many characters you can fit. Well there is no statement to that online and she assumed when she viewed the shirt it would adjust and show you if something couldn't fit. Disneystore.com's reply was it was a 3rd party that creates the actual shirt and they don't have control over it. My Mom ended up getting about 50% of her money back and we are still going to wear the shirts and make the best of it.

It was a cute idea and each couple is a Disney couple and where we could the whole family has characters from the same movie. But most of the kids just got who their favorite character is....

Since I have ruined shirts trying to do iron on sand I don't sew, I knew I has to purchase my shirts for my daughters firt trip this past week. I got various shirts and a dress from different sellers on etsy. Totally adorable and reasonabl

We are also "that" family who has the matching attire during the trip!!!

The biggest hit for us was matching tye-dye Mickey Head shirts that we made. I found the directions here on the forum.

We plan on doing them again this year but rather than do the rainbow colors, we'll each choose a color. My girls are getting older and don't want to match each other or mom and dad! :lol:

Making our own shirts saved us $$$. Hit up your local craft store when the shirts are $1 or $2 and then a tye dye kit or paints. It was a great family bonding thing we did pre-trip.

and also be aware that DISigns created and provided to you for free are sometimes showing up on both ebay and etsy....someone else is taking the credit and making a profit and violating copyright laws too...

What service have you used to print your custom t-shirts? when we go, we will be in a party of 17 and we would like to find the cheapest and effective way to get these shirts for our trip. thanks so much everyone!

Well, I make my own shirts, I buy them either from AC Moore when they are 4 for 10, or I order from jiffyshirts.com. I order my transfers from www.amymickey.com and they are far the best transfers I have ever used. I am making about 20 shirts for my August trip...good luck

Disney must have found out about her transfers because she states on her website that she no longer has any Disney transfers.

She still sells transfers, which my daughter says are great by the way. It states she isn't doing DISNEY DESIGNS any more.

Amy does non Disney designs, just about anything you can think of, she will design as long it's not Disney. Her transfer sheets are the best and she includes super directions with them. She also ships fast

I think it is a way to get around PayPal fees and other PayPal issues.

Oh no, I still pay fees.

It is really because before I sold transfers on my site, I just did designing.

Many people asked me to add a donation link to my site so that they could give me something for my time and talent.

Fast forward a few years and I started selling transfers. Long story short, I just never changed the way it was set up.
