This is our first family trip back to WDW in 7 years Kids are in mid teens. We are completely stressed out over planning this vacation. Here are our questions.
1) If we already made park reservations, and now all parks are closed to new reservations, does that mean we cant make a change unless we park hop after 2pm?
2) Should we buy the Genie+ for all days, originally was going to just buy it for MK.
3) touringplans Lines app vs Genie app. which one is more accurate?
4) we will have a car. what is the best strategy for park & resort hopping car, or Disney transpo from park to park ect...
5) Any tip or suggestions outside of what I asked will be greatly appreciated as well.
6) Are the parks so crowed that this will be an expensive waste of both time & money???

Thank you...

I can't answer all your questions, but I'll try to help some:
1) Unfortunately, yes, because in order to make a new park reservation you have to cancel the one you have.
2) I'm starting to see more suggestions that you buy G+ for any day that you'll be at MK or DHS, whether to start or to hop to. If you're starting at AK or Epcot, you can use G+ to book some LLs for your after-2 PM park (in addition to booking at those parks too, of course). If you're starting at MK or DHS, of course, you'd book there.
3) I have no experience with TP Lines app.
4) Generally, you won't be allowed into a resort's parking lot unless you are staying there or have a reservation for dining or something else there. This is especially true for resorts that are on the monorail line, the Skyliner line, or otherwise close to parks. So if you want to resort hop, it's best to park in the nearest theme park lot and use Disney transportation to and between the resorts you want to visit. Park hopping you can use Disney transportation or your car, just be aware of closing time for the park where you leave your car and the park you hop to, to be sure you can get back to the park where your car is. Transportation to a closed park usually ends about an hour after the park closes.
5) Are you stayin onsite or offsite? If onsite, you get free parking at the theme parks, but I would ride Disney transportation to MK so that you get dropped off at the MK bus station rather than parking at TTC and then having to cross the lagoon via monorail or ferry. If offsite, you'll pay for theme park parking at the first park, but if you move your car to another park, just show the receipt and you won't have to pay again.
6) I don't think so. Read some of the recent posts on the Here Now and Just Back thread to see how others have managed their days. You've already made a great start!

Have fun!
