We are considering trying the 3 or 4 day DCL on our next trip in Nov 2010. We always book through Virgin and stay on-site which I have to admit I'm reluctant to change but I can't seem to find any prices. :confused3 (I haven't rang them yet) Anyone got any advice on who to book with?
I like it easy, so really just want to book the whole thing with one tour operator. I shall be checking out the DCL board but I just wondered if any UK posters have any tips first.
I've told my DW that once I go on to the DCL board I will be unavailable for any jobs around the house for the next 6 months. :lmao:

I could be wrong, but I think Virgin have stopped doing Disney Cruises :confused3
You could try doing a package with Dreams Unlimited request a quote online.
It's so much more fun doing it all yourself though :)

I remember when VH did do the Disney cruises the markup was huge, not sure if anyone else in the UK offers them but I would imagine it'd be the same as disney.co.uk don't even do them. I think it'd be a case of either booking it separately or at least booking the cruise separately to the rest (I think VH can work something out for accomodation nights being less than the holiday duration if you phone them) or booking the Disney accomodation/cruise package separate from flights and car hire (could still do a VH flydrive)

Just looked at Virgin crusie site, as already said Disney not on their list. http://www.virginholidayscruises.co.uk/

I helped someone a year or 2 back to cancel cruise with Virgin and rebook direct with Disney, they saved 50%, Virgin just about doubled Disney price, they didn't even lose a deposit as they still kept rest of package.

If you want to stick with VH then book a package with them and book your cruise with Disney or Dreams Unlimited, just leave your hotel room empty while on cruise, can't get any easier than that for you.

A package is easier but a lot more costly usually. For eg. our 25 night trip incl 7 night Disney cruise this August, includes 16 nights OKW with DDP, Business class flights with Delta, Full size car with Gold cover, 3 adults costing under £6,000, I tried to do a comparable quote with Virgin, near as I could and it came to around £12,000. Sometimes Virgin hols are competative(low season usually) other times I have no idea where they get their prices.

Hi, not necessarily the cheapest option, but we have twice booked a Virgin Holiday and booked a disney cruise direct with disney. Virgin charge an 'independent stay' fee for any nights where you don't use any of their facilities- I believe its around £25. Last year we did a 3 nights cruise this way, although we didn't have to pay the independent fee as we kept the hire car for the 3 nights and just paid parking at the port.

actually just checked and Virgin charge £30 per person if you have an 'independent' part to your stay - so guess would be cheaper to keep the car and pay parking - at least then your car is right there when you get off the boat and its no hassle at all doing that!!:thumbsup2
