Ok, as promised, here it is!

Sat 3/5- flight left Newark for Orlando at 7:30am... arrived at 10am. We used Cartier car service, and they were there waiting for us at the bag claim. The driver was very helpful, and we took advantage of the grovery store stop at Publix... our rooms weren't ready at the All Star Movies, so they held our luggage and we were off to the Marketplace...did some resort hopping, had dinner PS at Chef Mickey's. We have always gone there for breakfast, this was our first dinner, I think I like the breakfast better. Of course the atmosphere is always fun!

Sun 3/6- MK first thing! I was amazed- we did practically the whole park before our 2:40 PS at Cinderella's Royal Table. After lunch, we went to MGM and stayed for Fantasmic- what a great show, this was the first time I saw it. We also stayed for EMH that night, had a great time.

Mon 3/7- rented a car and went to Universal and IOA. Again, crowds were low and weather was perfect! We were able to do everything in both parks in one day! We ended our day at Citywalk, and had dinner at Margaritaville, our favorite!

Tues 3/8- Slept in a little and went to AK. I was never a big fan of this park. We did all the major attractions, and left in the afternoon. Our group split up, some wanted to nap. My friend Melissa and I did some shopping at Downtown Disney, and then we met up for dinner at Wolfgang Puck and then Pleasure Island.

Wed 3/9- The weather made a turn for the worse- 58 and rainy-ALL DAY! So we put our ponchos on and went to EPCOT. Went on Mission:Space- have they changed it since last summer? Seems like it was shorter. Anyway, we had lunch at the American Adventure, the turkey on the everything bagel was awesome! Had to go back to the room to change our shoes and pants.. then went to the MK. Had burgers at Pecos Bill in Frontierland (yum!) and watched Wishes (luckily the rain stopped around dinner time!) We also stayed for EMH and rode Splash Mountain, THunder Mountain, and some Fantasyland rides (no waits!)

Thurs 3/10- PS at the Kona Cafe for breakfast, DH loves the tonga toast! Then we hopped on a bus to MGM. Again, perfect weather, low 70s...the lines started getting a little longer, but no more than 20-30 minutes. Afterwards we went to EPCOT and stayed for EMH. Had dinner at the Yakitori House in Japan- not so great. Unfortunately I was suffering from what I think was dehydration... awful headache and a little nausea...took some medication and drank lots of water, but still wasn't up for Pleasure Island, which was the original plan. So the 2 other ladies and I stayed in, and the guys had their night out.

Fri 3/11- PS at the Crystal Palace for breakfast, always yummy! We did some of the attractions that we missed, Country Bear Jamboree and Hall of Presidents (this was not my idea!!! I took a nice nap haha!) We also rode Thunder Mountain. Then we went back to EPCOT to ride Test Track. Can you believe the wait was 160 minutes? We grabbed a Fast pass for 3 hours later...went on the Figment ride, and Honey I Shrunk the Audience... grabbed a snack, and split up again. Melissa and I went to the Grand Floridian, I wanted a shirt there. THe others went back to the hotel to rest, and we met up at MK for Spectromagic. I haven't seen the light parade in years... it's so different! I think I miss the old parade, I was expected Pete's Dragon! After the parade, we took the bus to the Boardwalk and went to Jellyrolls, had a blast! What a great place. I wish I could have stayed later, but by midnight I was just so exhuasted. We had to take the bus to DTD to get the bus back to ASMo.

Sat 3/12- Checked out around 10am, and went to DTD for last minute shopping. Came back for our ride to the airport at 2:30... they didn't show up, long story- but it was our fault and they were there in a jiffy with a limo! We made it with plenty of time for our 5:40pm flight. We arrived in Newark at 8pm.

We definitely had a great trip, and I will never go in the summer again! I know the weather can be iffy this time of year. But except for that one nasty day, the weather was perfect, low-mid 70s and sunshine. The crowds were minimal, and we didn't have to use a fast pass until our last day! I think a cheerleading competition arrived Thursday which created slightly bigger crowds, but definitely managable. It really didn't matter that the parks weren't open too late, b/c we were able to do everything we wanted during the day.

So I guess that's it, back to reality for me! I'm really not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow or working on my graduate thesis! yuck! We're already planning our next trip for May 2006.. my parents have a Marriott timeshare and are going to try and trade it to stay onsite. We'll see!!!

Thanks for all the tips!

Melissa
