Has anyone done the Epcot segway tour that you can book?

I thought this might be a fun thing to do, its a 2 hr session and can book a 7:30am slot so would be done by 9:30am, and we have a full Epcot day worked into our September/October plans.

I fancied the Keys to The Kingdom tour as well but need to decided on just 1:confused3

We have done both tours and would recommend either. The first hour of segway is learning how to ride and the second hour is riding through world showcase and going up down and around the obsticles in the pavilions. An especially fun part was slaloming through the columns in Italy.

Just as I suspected great reviews :rotfl2:

I think I shall book the segway tour, whizzing around world showcase sounds like something DBF would love and I wouldnt want to miss!

Are there photopass guys on these tours? Silly question I know, but it wouldbe great to get some shots of me beating DBF in a segway race

there weren't on ours...
we stopped for pictures and the guides offered to take pictures of us...

for the most part your ride in a single line - one behind the other..
except for in one place that they let us whiz around to our heart's content...but only for a short time...
so you won't be doing any racing....
but it's fun anyway!! :goodvibes

there's another fun segway tour - it's at fort wilderness....it's an 'off-road' segway tour...
exactly as it says - you go off the road, onto the trail...over tree roots and the like....
it really isn't a 'tour' as much as riding the segway around FW....
the first 30 minutes or so were dedicated to learning to ride (maybe even less than that) and then we were off..
again in a single file line...
it was lots of fun!!

We absolutely loved the "Around the world at Epcot" and would definitely do ti again.

We also did the "Wilderness Back Trail Adventure" on off-road style segways that's at Fort Wilderness and the Wilderness Lodge, and travels through the nature areas which separate the two. Also a great tour, and my favorite of the two.

I've been considering doing the Keys to the Kingdom tour (if thats the MK one), as DBF and I love the behind-the-scenes information. :thumbsup2

And I think we'll try the Segways in Epcot Innoventions before we book a Segway tour - we're going back in December 2013 with my family, so I have plenty of time for you to review it to convince me :lmao:

We've done both the Epcot and Fort Wilderness Segway Tours and absolutely loved them both :)
We did the first tour of the day at Epcot and FW and ended up being the only two guests at each one
If there aren't too many in your group and you demonstrate you are comfortable on the Segway, you'll head out pretty quickly and get more time out and about
At FW we saw plenty of wildlife including Armadillos which I thought was the most exciting thing ever and our guide played a little Disney trivia quiz with us on the way round
At Epcot our guide took lots of time to point out details and hidden mickeys around World Showcase
On both tours our guides took photos of us using our camera
It's obviously really cool to be pretty much alone in WS :)
Seriously you will love either one :)

I didnt know about the one at Fort Wildernes... you've thrown me a curveball now!

I'm stupidly excited about this trip already, and I still have 7 months to wait :yay:

I'm also starting to think 2 weeks is not going to be long enough!!!!

are you kidding? 4 weeks isn't enough!!!

We have done the segways at Epcot and loved it. At Easter we are doing the fort wilderness tour. Very excited. :)

the truth is, i don't think there is a bad tour at WDW - i've done almost all of them and thought they were all wonderful.

Another fun one is snorkeling in the living seas at epcot.
They call it snorkeling, but you don't use a snorkel.
You actually use a scuba tank and all the gear.
The only reason it's not called scuba diving, is you don't go under water - you stay on the surface of the water (they don't give you a weight belt, so you don't go down)..
It was sooooooooooo much fun!!! and i did that one by myself. (my family wasn't with me on that trip).
Everyone had the greatest time on that swim.

And another really fun one was the dolphin class. You first learn about dolphins, then you go into the tank with the dolphins at epcot. You don't swim with them, you stand on this platform that's in the water and the dolphins come up to you. It was very interesting and a lot of fun.
But if i had to pick between the two water tours, i'd go with the snorkeling one. I mean, how much fun can a person have? swimming in the aquarium in the living seas????
i LOVED it.

and as i said, i loved all the tours i've been on at WDW (about 10 different tours in all i think. when i have time, i'll come back and list them all with a mini review)

I'm not a big fish fan at all, the sea scares the bejeebus out of me so I might pass on the snorkeling type adventures!!!

I've told DBF we will have to go again, soon after the September trip...!

I did the Keys to the Kingdom tour with DBF and his family in 2009 and it was amazing! Our tour guide was very knowledgable and answered all questions we asked, we got to ride on the Jungle Cruise with the audio off. The backstage part of the tour was great, we got to see where they tested all of the lights on the floats, and much more!
It was amazing and I would love to do it again. This year my mum and I are doing the Wild Africa Trek which I can't wait to do!

I have decided a decision :rotfl2:

Segway tour around Epcot it is. Aiming for the early morning slot and probably mid week so hopefully...

How would I book it? Do I call the number on the website or is there a different way us UK dwellers have to book things?? I'm still new to the super organised holidaying of Disney World!

Early morning slot? I thought they only did it once a day as they need to do it while WS is closed?

What time does the tour start anyway?

Sorry, my dreadful typing (busy day at work). Its a 7:30am slot ( early for DBF!!) but "aiming for" because I'll be amazed if he gets up for it!!
