Flying in and out of Tampa. Are the tolls between the 2? Trying to see if I should get sunpass or not

Thx

Possibly on the highway in the Tampa area.

We flew in and out of Tampa last year but headed south, not east. On the way to our destination we took the big bridge and had a toll. On the way back to the airport that way was congested so we had to take the other way and hit 2 tolls about 5-10 min from the airport.

stay away from the crosstown expressway, aka the Selmon Expressway and you are toll free.

no reason for you to get on this unless you get LOST

My husband was following the Waze app directions and I was looking at google maps and said don't get off but he didn't listen!

If you are driving west toward the Airport, and miss the airport entrance, you have once more chance to avoid a toll road. Follow the signs for Route 60 then turn around and come back following signs for the Airport.

Avoid getting on 589/Veterans Expressway - that's the tollway and I believe there are no toll booths so it's toll-by-plate only.
