I tried searching - but couldn't find what I was looking for.

Talking a transfer from WDW to Port Canaveral.

Tonight I called the resort (Disney Caribbean Beach Resort) to find out times - was told I would not know until 2 days before my trip. The quoted time (just going from prior days was pick up at 1230. Was hoping to be there a little earlier this time around.

I have a 11-12 PAT - is there any chance I will get there at that time? Is there something I can do on my end to ensure I meet that 11-12 PAT?

Thanks!!

Typically the buses start picking up around 11:00 from the resorts, and can stop at up to 3 other resorts for passengers. When we've used DCL transfers were on the ship around 1:00 - 1:30 range. The only way you'll get there for your PAT is private transportation.

The night before your cruise you'll receive a letter from DCL informing you of what time and where to meet for the bus. Then around 8:00 AM the morning you leave they'll pick up your luggage to take to the ship.

The bus ride is a lot of fun and I do recommend DCL transfers if this is your first cruise. It's kind of a bummer getting there later than you wanted but is do so easy and effortless that it's worth it.

Enjoy your cruise.

Yes, one of the reasons we always rent a car and drive ourselves. Cheapest option for us, can pick up our adult beverages, and easy drive.

Just give yourself plenty of time. We got a limo once from Happy Limo. Ended up with a flat tire on the interstate, which I know can happen with anyone, but they could not find a limo to pick us up and take us the rest of the way. We waited over 2 hours and it was a very anxious time worrying about being late for the ship.

As PPs said, you will not get to the port by your scheduled PAT using DCL transfers from the resorts. There is confusion on how DCL transfers from the resorts work. Most people think they are like Magical Express and have a number of buses going back and forth so a number of different pick up times. Each resort only has one pick up time for DCL. The time may vary a little from cruise to cruise based on the number of people at each resort but that time will usually get you to the port around 1 pm. (We have gotten there as early as 12:30 and as late as 2pm; a lot of variables in timing for the bus.)

I know you have made your decision to use a car service. I just wanted to explain the process for anyone else that wants to arrive early from the resorts.
