We are splitting our February Trip so we are on site for 5 days and off site for 4 days. I was thinking of taking a ride down to Busch Gardens to get a break from the parks (we just returned from WDW in December and want to try something new).

A few questions:

Has anyone been to Busch Gardens in Tampa?
Is it worth the drive? :moped:
Will it be crowded during the first week of Feb. (mid week)? :crowded:

Any help is appreciated.

We just moved away from Tampa 6 months ago to very cold Cincinnati. We loved Bush Gardens. It is a lovely relaxing park to stroll around, and if you like thrill rides, then you have those too. We went frequantly and it really should not be very crowded in Feb, especially if you go on a week day. There are usually some kind of ticket deals so be sure to check their web site. The Bush parks in general have the best hospitality, much better than Disney or Universal. You won't be sorry you made the trip.

BG's a nice park. when we first moved here we were pleasantly surprised. the drive isn't bad, but I-4 is under a lot of construction between orlando and tampa so allow a little extra time.

When you say a "break from the parks", I hope you just mean Disney parks.
Busch Gardens is a theme park, too. A very nice park with an African theme, and some great roller coasters.

i was thinking about that too, is it on the way to cape canaveral by any chance?
