WDW tickets in DL?

We have it on very good authority (another unnamed Disney-centered website) that leftover tickets from WDW - say two days of a 10 day hopper pass - can be converted to DL tickets (one day at a time).

However, our 'source' says the last instance they knew of was back in August 2008. Has anyone converted their tickets? If so, how long ago? We are going to both parks later this year, and are hoping to save a couple days of our WDW pass to use in DL, but don't want to lose the 2 days if it won't work!

Take your WDW multi-day pass to DL. They will subtract 1 day from it and give you a daily pass. If you want to go to DL for a 2nd day using your WDW multi-day pass, on the second day you will do the exact same thing again They will only remove/convert one day at a time.

You cannot change DL multi-day tickets to WDW tickets in this manner, only WDW --> DL.

Thanks, Disney Dreams! Have you done this personally? Or know someone who has?

I ask because my husband asked this same question on another site, and was told that it was a complete rumor, it's never happened, and the poster even said he called Disneyland and they denied this policy!

We were at DL last summer and used 3 days of our non expiring WDW passes...they exchange it no problem and it gets you into both DL parks (DL and CA).

I have many friends who did this in Aug 2008 (same time as you 'source'...wonder if it may be some same people???). And I also know someone who did it in Nov 2008. Don't worry, you will be able to exchange if you want to. It's not widely publicized because obviously Disneyland would rather have you spend more money with them and purchase the tickets.

FYI - You cannot do the reverse: Use DL days from a PH at WDW. Maybe this was some of the confusion on other sites.

Thanks. Yep, I had read that, but a person the other site was pretty adament that WDW tickets could not be used in DL. No worries, though! Other people wrote in and confirmed what we heard here.
