We are going in February for a few days.

4 day park hopper (definitely park hopper) or 10 day no expiration?? Considering an annual pass (which I can get discounted through DVC), but not sure if we will be back within the year. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Also, dining plan or no dining plan??

Note that to get a DVC-priced AP you must be DVC Members and not just renting points or staying in a DVC property.

You might want to look at the Everything About WDW Tickets locked sticky in thw TPA&S Forum. Especially the items bolded in the list below.

I've done both the 10 day no expiry and the annual pass. I enjoy my stay much more with an annual pass because we don't feel obligated to stay all day to "get our money's worth" from the ticket. If we go and it starts raining, we can leave after two hours without looking back. I wouldn't do that if I had used a day on our ticket.

On the other hand, we only do that when we will use the passes four weeks or more during the year. If we have mostly other vacation plans for the year, the 10 day no expiry works better.

It depends on when your next trip would be and how long the trip would be.

If you plan on visiting again within a year for 7 days or longer, go with the AP.

If you plan on visiting again within a year for 6 days or less, go 10 day NE.

If you don't plan on visiting for more than a year, but for 7 days or more, go with the 4 day.

If you don't plan on visiting for more than year, but for 6 days or less, get 10 day NE.

Here's why I say this... if you won't visit again within a year, the AP makes NO sense. It DOES expire, so you're basically paying for admission you don't use.

If you purchase a 10 day NE, and use 4 days on this trip, that leaves 6 days of admissions. That might be enough for a full vacation. So you've paid for your tickets ahead of time and don't need to worry about any price increase.

If you're staying for 7 days or longer, you'd need to get additional tickets for the extra days and Disney 'front loads' the cost (ie: you pay more for days 1-3 than 4-7).

So get out your crystal ball. :)

Are you taking any school aged kids? If so be sure to check out the YES thread.

I keep reading about the "yes thread" but I never can seem to find it.
?
:confused3

nevermind. Ofcourse after I finally post I can't find it- I find it. LOL

We're signed up for the individual class Feb 8. They are offering individual enrollments through Feb 14. Disneyyouth.com is the link to the Y.E.S. program and click on individual enrollment then Programs. When you click on "sign up now" listed on the class schedule, it will list all the classes and which ones are "open" for enrollment.

The great thing about the individual enrollment is that everyone in your party gets the program ticket as long as one of the kids participates. Unlike the group sign-ups where the kids have to outnumber the adults. We've already got our tickets (I paid the extra $10 and had them fed ex'd) and we're so EXCITED!!

If you want to call, I can PM you the toll free number. Ashley is the one that deals with individual enrollment. SUPER, super helpful!

Yeah, we're having this same discussion....have ADRs but may cancel all but one and go with the QSDP. Really seems to be the best value--at least for us (2 adults, 1 kid & a baby)

We go frequently and we still have 10 day no-expiration tickets from 2005 that we bring with us to use. We've supplemented them with other tickets when we knew we'd stay longer or go enough times in a year, but they are never a bad investment, in my opinion. :thumbsup2
