WDW Things to do Outside the Parks

We have an extra day on Sunday, 1/19 that I haven’t planned anything specific for. We already have one day allocated to each of the 4 parks and we’re spending the following two days in Universal. Are there any fun Disney things to do outside of the 4 parks?

I saw that Disney Springs has an NBA experience but It doesn’t seem to look all that great. We’re also not really interested in shopping unless it’s very unique as we have plenty of shopping where we live. We’re a family of 5 with 2 boys ages 17 and 13 and an 11 year old girl.

Any thoughts? People sometimes mention visiting the hotels but what is there to do in a hotel?

Mini golf
Rent a pontoon or a mouse boat
The Void at Disney springs
Visit fort wilderness and ride bikes/ archery lessons/ chip and dale sing along and movie

We have a non park day scheduled as well. The guys are going golfing at the Disney course and the girls are going to the spa. Will meet up for lunch, and do some resort hopping. Evening will be Disney Springs for dinner and the Void.
