WDW SWGE: Now taking reservations for Oga's, Droid Building & Lightsaber's

I had TP alerts on for Ogas and last night at 4 am my phone went off three times in a row with texts. My dh asked who it was I said just my planning and he went back to sleep but I know he has no clue what I was talking about he doesn't know about TPs LOL

I turned on my ipad, went on my phone for MDE, ipad won for getting me out of the spaceship refresh and made ressies for breakfast and lunch. I was planning to leave by 9-10 am so this will work well. I will probably get rid of my lunch but not sure yet.

My dh never asked me who I was "talking" to on my phone/ipad at 4 am LOL

Now I just need my dang September 13 in a dedicated two bedroom at GFVs to open today for September 13 so I can go on vacation tomorrow and not have to think about it any longer!!!

CarolMN, please send pixie dust for me for that since your pixie dust for Oga's worked!!

i finally had luck today for both my Sept and Dec trip at least at Oga's

Not sure I have any special "pull" with GFV, but of course I hope it works!! (But be prepared for a bit of a let down after it works, as you miss the thrill/stress/excitement of the chase)!

NOOOOO, I cannot do this any longer!!!

In January, during Marathon Weekend, a few months prior to January, I was able to stalk an 8 nights stay at BTL LV Studio but it was actually easier than this six month stalk of the one night needed at GFVs. The full three weeks were available at 6 months, with the exception of this one night, September 13. I have a lock off two bedroom booked but have 9 nights in a dedicated two bedroom so would love not to have to move our last night.

Finally got Oga’s to pop up. Multiple slots over Jan 1-5. Finally found the droid & lightsaber pages through the search on MDE. My DH loves SW, my boys like it, but no way I’m spending $135 CAD per kid to build a droid or worse $270 per kid to build a lightsaber! Holy crap. I thought DAH tix were expensive... Lots of time slots pop up.

Agree! I am not nearly enough of a Star Wars fan to spend that much on a souvenir that will just end up taking space in my home! But it does make the ~$15 per person for a drink at Oga's seem like a good buy, and I am looking forward to that! Glad I got a reservation.

I tried last night for Oga's, for a party of 4 for every day of my December trip, nothing. Party of 2, nothing. Tried again this morning for a party of 4 and there were numerous spots open for every day of my trip. If you can't get the reservation you're looking for just keep trying.

Same experience here. Nothing available yesterday, got my reservation today.
Wondering if they're slowly releasing availability, which would make some sense. It seems weird so many people booking yesterday within minutes and already cancelling the following day.
I have about 20 days to decide if I really want a lightsaber

I've been half convinced by the fact that it's more of an experience than just a toy. But it's an hell of a price for a 20 minutes experience, so I'm torn if I should cancel or not. I guess no DVC or AP discount on this?

I was able to book reservations at Oga's Cantina with very few issues first thing in the AM (EST). If you are having "slowness" problems, I suggest booking in the early morning hours (i.e. I booked at 4:30 AM EST)

I luckily was able to get reservations for Oga’s, Droid, and Savi’s. By “I” I mean my DW who is the queen of getting any reservations we need. I salute her.

WDW - sept/oct & nov/dec trips...after far too long staring at scrolling spaceship, thought i had several secured but they went ‘poof’ before completing reservation

Okay maybe I'm missing something I had no problem getting a reservation for 7 for dinner in October at Oga's but when looking at the menu I'm mostly seeing cocktails with a couple snacks. Don't get me wrong I love a good alcoholic beverage but I need some food. Yes i know Oga's was a bar in the movie but is this all that's offered or is something coming out later with some actual entrees I also didn't see anything indicating a buffet.

OK so we planned our Dec trip (1st week) prior to knowing about SWGE opening. Thought we’d be smart and go on a weekday (Thurs 12/5) but now see that is opening day for one of the new attractions. Ugh. We may pass on SWGE altogether this trip but if we were to go, what is the most popular SWGE restaurant and why? Doubt we’ll be able or get an ADR but you never know I suppose
