WDW sold out week of Oct 13th

Between the time frames you've listed, I'd still pick mid-October. Spring breaks are nuts, summer is hot and winter break is super busy as well.

Summer always wins in my book.

We went this past June - the 21 - 26 - and the crowds were easy-peasy. Last year we went the first week of August and it was a ghost town...

I found Spring Break and early October to be fairly equivalent, truthfully, only with fewer early closings for spring break vs. hard ticket party season.

ok, maybe should ask it this way. Between mid-october, winter break, spring break, and summer..... when would be the best time to go? Those are the only times I can get both kids on a trip

I have not been in October in 6 or so years, but I saw pictures from last year and it looked pretty crowded. Due to school schedules we have gone mid to late July the last couple of years. Yes it is crazy hot but the crowds were much less than I expected for summer. Good luck with your plans.

We were there mid-July and it was better than our January/February trip this year crowd-wise. I'd definitely go with summer - it's become a good time to go if you're looking for "lower" crowds.

I went the week of October 13th in 2016 - it was an absolute madhouse. I read later that the Wednesday of that week there were 70,000 people at MK. It was terrible. I decided that October out for us after that.

I think the key to going at a busy time is a good plan. I think if you are flexible in where you want to eat and can get your FPs planned out in time Mid Oct could work. However if you have not been in awhile a little more time to plan might be better.

OP is you kids Spring Break the week before or after Easter? If not, I would definitely consider going over Spring Break. I would consider the weeks around Easter as well but it will definitely be more expensive and crowded. With a good plan it can still be a good time.

If your kids are still off for summer vacation, I would choose the last week in August. Crowds are usually decent.

October would be my favorite time to go hands down if not for the crowds. I've done it quite a few times since 2012 but 2016 I said never again (though I'm easily convinced lol) So my second choice is winter break. Depending on when your break is you could still be dealing with crowds (Marathon weekends etc) but it's probably better than Spring in my opinion. I have not been in Summer in about 10 years mostly because the reason I go is to escape the cold so that defeats the purpose for me. But if that works for you, I have friends who prefer summer.
