WDW shopping bag warning

Hi Worfiedoodles,

You can definalty send your packages home and that is something that I would recommend doing especially if you are taking the cruise. It doesn't depend on how much it weighs, it depends on when you want to recieve it.

The least expensive I paid was $14.95 plus taxes and 2 weeks later on the nose I came home from a hard day at work and low and behold there was all my souvenirs!!!

Good Luck and have a great trip!

I have never had the problem, but I don't tend to wear sunscreen. Maybe it is something in the sunscreen that interacts with the ink.

Yes they are new bags as of May 5th. We were there May 4th and purchased something and it was put in the old bags on May 5th they were changed for the Birthday celebration.

This pretty much happens with any type of bag madee out of this kind of plastic where the colors are printed on there...not just Disney bags. Since the colors on the plastic are not naturally made, any bag that has color on them runs the risk of the colors running. So it's something to keep in mind no matter where you shop...not just WDW.

This happened to us last September. I believe it to be the sunscreen. We sprayed some directly onto an empty bag, rubbed it around and a lot of the colour came off on the napkin. This was Neutrogena sunscreen. We tried it with Coppertone Sport and the colour did not come off. Needless to say, the Neutrogena stayed in my suitcase for the rest of the trip :)

I have a funny ink transfer story from this paast week!!

My 2 DS bought toys in China and wanted to keep them with them, so we did not have them sent to the resort. After Illuminations my DH decided to ggo back to the room instead of going to EMH at MK with us. He had sprayed bug spray on his legs and when he got on the bus he said a lady kept looking at his leg and looked like she might be sick. My husband ask her how she was and she ask him how long ago he had got that road rash on his leg and that it looks very painful! The ink from the kids bag had come off all over his leg and looked like a bloody mess with black burn spots in it. Never carried another bag the rest of the week.

You might ask for double bagging of all of your purchases. Turn the outer bag inside out before lining it with the other bag that remains right side out.

OT -- Laser printer ink and photocopy (Xerox, etc.) ink will come off onto some kinds of plastic material that touches the printed page.

I have had this problem with more than just the Disney bags. There is a store (Strawberries) near where I used to work and their bags were black. They would always turn my hands black. They got wise after a while and made the bag white where the handle was.

Old Navy has bags like that too. One time I had a bag turn my palm yellow. I look really weird.

That sounds like a great plan. I think getting the packages two weeks later would be like receiving a great present, and a wonderful reminder of our trip!
