WDW Rules Written by DIS

So I'm reading in another thread where some are of the opinion that waiting in line is not really a requirement, just a diabolical idea/rule that DIS members made up because they personally don't agree with line cutting (so long as someone is holding your place).

So my question is, what other "rules" have DISers made up that this theory applies to? What other "rules" are frequently preached here, but not really Disney policy?

Nope, sorry, not twisting anything--I think I summed it up pretty nicely in a 'generally speaking' manner. Just asking a question--it's not the first time I've seen that claim or wondered that myself. So I'm just curious as to how many people found what was claimed as 'official policy' here to be different from what they actually experienced.

i.e. I was under the impression that there was a minimum age limit for single riders, yet I rode TT on the last trip w/ a 6 yr old who was riding alone.

Simply put, what have you recieved advice on here that you found to be inaccurate from your experience while in WDW.

ew, smoking is nasty... I would turn that around to, What advice have I given that was inaccurate. I once told someone that the food at 9 Dragons wasn't so bad.
