WDW Resort Question……

Hi, @slo , I was expecting a poll, hahaha! I had no trouble driving into POFQ in November (I was staying at AllStarMovies, too)! However, if you ARE at Disney Springs (or headed there), the boat ride to POFQ is pretty nice. Let me know what you think of the beignets; I was not a fan.

(PS... did you know if you stay in the Ducks section of ASMo you are closer to the bus stop at Music than at Movies? Also closer to the food court and pool bar... just sayin!)

I’ll have to try to remember to do a review of them on here.
DD19’s favorite princess is Tiana, which is why she really wants to try them. If I wasn’t a cheapskate I would have stayed at the resort, but I am, so we’re staying at AllStar Movies - LOL!

I loved staying at movies! So cute! I’ve also stayed at French quarter. You’ll enjoy the scenery there.

I’ll tell my DD19 this - she’d be the one wearing the powdered sugar before me - why do I say this? Because I‘m a closet powdered sugar eater - I’ve been known to eat a teaspoon full when no one is looking, so I gotta be careful and have no evidence on my clothes - LOL!

*I threw all my powdered sugar away after baking this year so I can behave and not eat it in 2023 until I need to bake with it again

I have definitely made that mistake before, which why I sneak a spoonful with no one around. If my DH or DD caught me, they’d make me laugh and I’d inhale it so bad that I would have a coughing fit - definitely takes away from my sugar moment - LOL!

Many older threads about Disney parking. They don't want people parking for free at a resort are within walking distance of one of the 4 parks as a way to avoid paying for parking. At other resorts with convenient transportation to a park, they enforce various parking rules based on how busy things are. Even if you have an ADR at a particular resort, you still are not able to park there all day while at a nearby park. If you arrive via Disney transportation, no one is going to ask where you are staying or where you are going.

If time is not an issue,riding the Sassagoula River Cruise to The Quarter will add to the experience!

And timing it for Sunset-even better!

If you get them at Scat Cat's club, you can get various liquer's for filling. Bailiey's and lady Godiva's are my favorite.

I would probably take the boat from Disney Springs, as I just enjoy it, but I agree that you are unlikely to have trouble parking if you tell them you are there to eat/tour the resort.

Also, be careful if you are wearing contact lenses. Powdered sugar in the eye is no laughing matter if you have contacts on.

I can also confirm you can just drive up to the guard gate and say you are there to get beignets and they will let you in to park, we do this all the time. It’s one of my favorite treats as they make them GF there and I have never found them GF anywhere else. They also have an option to make them boozy with a pipette filled with Irish cream or rum chatta. I personally think the caramel dipping sauce is the best, but the last time we were there the staff told me they changed the caramel and it’s no longer GF and it’s not as good. She said she keeps asking them to change it back
