Resort Dryers - do not fear - they all seem to work the same no matter where you stay. :lmao:

Rules of thumb:
1) Do not place anything in the dryer which can shrink
2) Use the highest drying setting
3) Expect to run the dryer at least twice
4) Expect it to take you at least an hour or two to do a family of four people's laundry after 5 days at WDW (depending on how many washers and dryers are available)
5) Bring your cell phone, guide book &/or resturant reviews with you when you do laundry to make any additional ADR's your family may wish to do

The above applies to any WDW resort.:laundy:

Deluxe. Moderate or Value - all have the same brand washers and dryers.

Pooh2001 - great observatiions! Especially #3 - Expect to run the dryer at least twice. It definitely works. Thanks.

I totally agree with Pooh21.

I do laundry for the 4 of us and it takes about 2 hours and yes, expect to run the dryer twice. The only way out of that is by splitting the clothes up and using more than one dryer which I have done on occasion. I'll put denim shorts and other pants in one dryer and tops in another, etc. By doing this I find I only need to run the dryer with the heavier items twice.

I have one tip to add. In the dryer throw in one dry towel as it helps to absorb some of the moisture. Even though those dryers are on high I swear they aren't set on a high heat. My dryer at home when on high gets very hot where WDW dryers don't. Guess it depends on your resort as well.:laundy:

So far the best ones I've found are at the Fort Wilderness comfort station we used last trip. One time and all was dry. I always break into two loads, and the towel idea is a good one, never thought of that.

A woman whom I met in the laundry room actually gave me that tip:thumbsup2

Just grab a couple of your towels from your room. It does work:woohoo:

I know, isn't that a bummer.

I have to because there are 4 of us and we are there for 2 weeks and no way am I packing that much so I pack for one week and then do the laundry so it can be worn again. Saves alot of extra baggage that I don't want to lug around.

Guess a woman's work is never done:laundy:

I was lucky to get the SSr UPGRADE TO A ONE BEDROOM. MY PLAN IS EACH NIGHT I WILL WASH AND DRY ONE LOAD OF LAUNDRY.(3-4 SHIRTS, THREE SHORTS) IF IT IS STILL DAMP IN THE AM I CAN RUN THE DRYER WHILE I GET READY. mY THINGS I DONT WANT IN THE DRYER I CAN HANG UP IN THE CLOSET.:laundy:

I too got the upgrade, and instead of bringing 10 days clothes now, I am gonna only bring like 4 days worth and wash them once or twice, and only have to worry about 1 bag on the plane :)
