WDW renegged on my old never-expiring tickets. -watch out!!!

As it is, as far as I know, 4 years ago, tickets on room keys were only length of stay..they had no ability to add park hopper tickets (that didnt expire) on room keys .... Someone messed up and it sounds like it was the resort.

Completely wrong!!! and that's
That's exactly what the entrance gate told me. Yet Carribean beach pulled up my old key information. Clear as day, 4 day park-hopper passes with [the other water park option/disney boardwalk?? etc], no expiration, two days used up. The ticket booth also pulled up the same information (the one just before you get on the monorail.) You are doing exactly what the entrance gate did. looking at what your [wrong] information is showing and not listening, THE TICKETS WERE CONFIRMED BY BOTH THE RESORT AND THE TICKET BOOTH.

Sorry, but that letter is way too angry and a little confusing. It looks like it might have been written by a teenager because it's a little unprofessional.

I understand you might have been angry at the time you wrote it, but I'd be surprised if you get any kind of response at all.

I couldn't even finish it, myself.

I don't think they like to put your bags in an un occupied room..I have always had to be in the room when having them sent up.

Let's face facts, you won't ever be happy...nothing they did, in your eyes, was right. Send a constructive letter ( leave out all the capital letters, it is poor writing skills to write more than a few words in capitals..opt for italic if you must stress) and hope that they get back to you. If you are looking for some kinda freebie...good luck, I have NEVER heard of that after you leave the property.

You wanted them to take bags from an empty room and put in your new room for you after the change?
I can't fathom that happening...I could see you placing your bags with bell services for the day then calling down and having them delivered to your new room.

It just seems you had some extremely high expectations...and they were not met fast enough for you.

well said.

That is not the way to write a complaint letter. You'll be lucky to even get a response. I only made it halfway through.
Ditto!

Sorry you feel so aggrivated by Disney!

However, in the end...you did recieve the passes you felt you were supposed to recieve. You were moved to a new room location. It seems that by that time you were stressed and the baggage situation felt huge to you. But they did bring the bags (by the way, 1/2 hour for baggage delivery at any hotel is not unusual). You now know that Magical Express doe not fit in with your personal idea of how much time should be allowed in the parks and for travel to and from the airport. Next time, spare yourself the aggrivation and just hire a taxi or car service to take you when YOU want to be taken. Any "public" type transportation is subject to their times and rules...not yours.

As for Alamo...they are not owned by Disney and therefore would not have access to Disney's records or information! They are "affiliated" with Disney. I would personally NEVER travel without all of my vouchers easily accessible by me. It just stands to reason, if you want to avoid problems, be prepared...I don't care WHO tells you WHAT!!!!

I truly am sorry you had such a rough time though... :flower:

Dude..you need to calm the frek down! First..I am just telling you what about 6 CM's told me at different times during different stays...and really..it doesn't matter what the resort or booth told you, the gate is where you have to be. I don't know why you are upset...clearly they let you in with a pass that wasn't valid...no matter what you were told! I would say that was good customer service.
I now really have a hard time believing that the CM threw his pen and was so furious...you entire attitude stinks and I give them snaps for dealing with you

I just have to ask did you let these things ruin your entire trip to Disney? You just sound so mad. I do understand you got frustrated but to be this mad it sounds like you weren't happy the entire time.

We have had to change rooms on two occasions and we always had to call Bell Services from our new room for them to deliver our luggage. Its the way things are done and have always been done as far as I remember. I also don't think they want to take luggage into an unoccupied room. We've never had more than a 15-30 minute wait.

We were just at Disney 2 weeks ago and I have to say we weren't treated rudely by anyone, not one cast memeber. We had a blast! I'm sorry your trip was ruined.

As it is, as far as I know, 4 years ago, tickets on room keys were only length of stay..they had no ability to add park hopper tickets (that didnt expire) on room keys because I tried this SEVERAL times. I hated carrying my KTTW card and ticket, but they had no way of linking them. Someone messed up and it sounds like it was the resort.

::yes::

Despite what you were told, this was the case. If it was on a room pass, it was ONLY valid for the length of stay. So if you got anything more out of it, you got lucky.

This letter sounds like it will get filed in the circular file... where letters from people who won't be happy no matter what so why bother trying get put.

I agree with those that say you got lucky getting those two days back from your old tickets. If you were this angry and abrasive in dealing with CMs at the parks, I can see why you might not have gotten the sweetest responses. There is only so much abuse that even someone who works for the mouse can take.

I agree with what everyone else has said but I have another observation. Your letter is very angry and if things didn't go the way you planned or expected than I understand your anger. But just as writing an angry letter is unprofessional, getting angry in person is unprofessional also. If you were upset and rude to the CM's, maybe that is why you had the reaction you did. I had a very similar thing happen with my park passes once where the CM at the TTC told me I had a day left but the gate wouldn't honor it. I was brought into the park and to Guest Services at City Hall to take care of the issue. But I kept my calm, I'm sure if I had reacted differently they would not have let me into the park.

Good luck resolving your issue and I'm sorry your vacation didn't go as planned.

i'm pretty sure I read that they don't let you check in more than 12 hours before because of airline security reasons.

I'm sorry, but are yous aying you left them in a bag at home or the bags at the hotel?

Not to be rude, your story is very hard to follow, I think you need to calm down before you right anything to Disney.

I had my room switched, the voucher was with the bags and not on my person. either way to track down the paper voucher was going to take an hour. This should of been easily looked up on a computer (which it eventually was) and Alamo should of known my name and been able to look up the reservation on that. It is 2005.

I was able to check in to the airline 24 hours in advance online from home.
If I had an internet browser in the front office I could of done it myself. That not-withstanding, then closing the magic express at 2:00pm is out of order.

Why didn't you ask to speak to supervisors while these things were happening. Complaining about Alamo to Disney is pointless. Take it up with Alamo.

Ditto. Please try to understand most everyone here is sorry you had such a hard time and is just trying to help you. There's no need to get so upset at a bunch of DISers who are just trying to help.

Sorry you had such a bad time.

Alamo never heard of me. I made my car reservation through the disney vacations planner. Disney chose Alamo, but did not forward my information to them.

I did ask to speak to supervisors. I was told to go to city hall, but I had to have tickets to get into city hall. When I got into city hall there was a line of 30 people ...

Why did Carribean beach computers show the information as non-expiring (just like I bought them) and why couldn't the front gate see that information?

i'm confused why you had a rental car AND used magical express.

but that's just me.

yes you can get a boarding pass, but you can't check luggage 24 hours before. The front desk at the airline will usually print boarding passes if you ask.

after the pen throwing incident, the guy said gruffly "well I guess I have to honor the park hopper passes since you have a receipt" and made out two paper two-day passes. I finally calmed down at the end of a great day at epcot, followed by two terrific days, one at NASA, and one at Universal (which had no problem with my 2001 left over days)

And yes, I am still very angry. before someone commented on a bus schedule. I'm sorry but a full bus of people sitting around for 30 minutes is ridiculous. Everyone was talking about it.

There was also no mention that the bus to my hotel consisted of xxx stops along the way to all the other hotels. 2 hours from "just wait there for your bus" until I set foot in my room.
