WDW railroad Toontown Station ?

HI,

I know that Toontown usually opens later than the rest of the park but what about the RR station there? Is it open before TT opens? I have a recent park map from a friend that just returned and it looks like there is a back trail from Tomorrowland to the station in TT. We're hoping to hit Tomorrowland at during an EMH and then hop the train over to Frontierland if we can access the TT station.

The Toon Town Train Station will be open with the first arriving train. The first train leaves Main Street at 9am and will be at TT about 9:15am. (On normal mornings...the next two weeks will be earlier as the park opens earlier). You can access the station via the pathway from Tomorrowland (and you can access Tomorrowland and Fantasyland via the pathway when exiting the train as well.) There will be ropes up blocking access to TT itself until it opens.

The only thing is it depends on when you are coming. The Toon Town Train Station itself is scheduled for rehab. No official date has been set yet, but during the rehab there will be no access to the train station at all. The train will still come through TT on it's way to Main Street but it will not be stopping to load or unload. When I hear the official date (which suppossedly is coming very soon) I will post

If you are trying to get to Frontierland at the 9 a.m. opening, I'm not sure I would do this. My only concern with your plan is that it is going to take longer to walk to Toontown, ride the train to Main Street and wait there for loading and unloading, then to ride to Frontierland. It's going to be past 9:30 when you get there. When we do ee at MK we often stay in Tomorrowland until about 8:45, then go to the Fantasyland rope drop (next to the old Skyway entrance) in time to walk quickly to Frontierland at 9 a.m.

We're going June 12th-19th and it sure would be nice to access that station from the back trail after we finish the Tomorrowland rides we want to do. I'm guessing TT will officially open at 10am so if we could hop the train from the TT station before then, like say 9:30 that would be great. Any idea if it will be closed for refurbishment in June?

We haven't heard any solid dates yet, I am guessing we will know better after the Spring Break/Easter crowds have died down. As soon as I hear anything solid I will let you know

Looks like it is your lucky day... Barring any unforseen delays in the rehab... It is currently scheduled for May 3- June 11...

Hopefully it will be on schedule and you will be one of the first to see the "new and improved" station
