This just in from WFTV:
1 Day Non resident $63.00 + tax
Fl Resident - $56.70 + tax
Increases across the board up to 5%

So if we are booked for August, 2006 but not paid in full does this mean our package price will jump to cover the increase in ticket cost? :confused3

ticketmanias prices are already up. Last night I tried to order my tickets and their site was down :badpc: , this morning, prices are already up. Ticketmania (through mousesavers discount) was still cheaper than mapleleaf though...............

If you are booked, you'll pay 2005 prices whether or not you are paid in full as long as you do pay and don't lose the ressie.

Yes, I just heard this on tv too. But I am wondering does anyone know how this affects AP renewal rates. My AP expires jan 6, and I know I can get the renewal rated for 30 days until and after. I am assuming Disney is increasing FL Resident AP rates too. Am wondering if I can still get the renewal rate of $280.00 which is the current rate for my AP?? Anyone know?? I would renew online today, But I am planning on going to the Mk next week and I am sure I wont have the new AP by then.

yikes ..perhaps i should get on the horn and make my ressies for next year NOW!!!!

Thanks! I was hoping that would be the case.

In the AAA brochure it states "All rates are subject to change until package is paid in full." I may call our agent just to be sure.

Yep, TicketMania has already raised their prices. Incidentally, unless I am mistaken, it looks like tix today are cheaper on Disney's website than on Ticket Mania with the Mousesavers discount!! I want to buy 5 Day, non-expiry, park hopping tix - 1 adult, 1 child. On Ticketmania, the price is $514. On Disney.com, the price is $475! :earseek:

Edited to Add: I'm off just slightly. The Disney price didn't include tax. With tax added, its just slightly cheaper. I decided to increase my tix to 7 days, which will save me a total of $12 over the Mousesavers price.

I wonder of there is a point at which attendance will decrease. I did not get a 5% raise this year. This specific increase won't make or break a vacation for me, but WDW would seem to be shutting out more and more people with the price increase. :confused3

I'm sure there is a point at whcih attendance will begin to decrease. I sincerely doubt that this 5% increase will even make a dent in attendance - from all I've read, attendance is way up.

Best wishes -

I was able to order my 4 day non-exp PH through discountorlandovacation this morning for just a couple of dollars more than what TicketMania/Mousesaver's price was before they went up last night. Shipping was free too!

I only have a couple of short trips planned to WDW this year (going back to DL this summer, I think) and with the raising costs of ticketing and lack of room only discounts, I'm starting to rethink my WDW vacations, at least as often.

I'm in the same boat as you - wondering how you made out. I guess I'll call this afternoon.

I left a voice mail for my agent, but she didn't call me back yet. Our office is only open until 1 PM on Saturdays, and the agents take turns, so she might not have been in the office today. I imagine it will be Tuesday before I hear anything. If anyone is able to reach their AAA office before then please let me know what they say! Thanks!

Does everyone realize that at the current rate of yearly increases, in 7 to 8 years it will cost $100 a day, per person, to get into WDW? Why would anyone who enjoys and frequents WDW only buy a 4 or 5 day pass now? Looking at a 10 day, never expire, MYW ticket is around $35 a day, if you were going to visit this year and not come back for 5 years it seems like it would be a great money saving thing to do.

I'm calculating almost 10% increase for a 7 day, no expiration, park hopper: $39.xx (yesterday) to $43.00 (today). Even though we are off to Orlando this week, this rate increase is having me consider skipping WDW altogether.

I was lucky enough to buy a 10 day premium non-expiring pass at Ticketmania on 12/27 at the Mousesavers' discount rate - when I saw the price increases last night, I went to Undercovertourist.com and found their prices hadn't yet gone up so (badly stretching the budget) bought one more - once these two are used up, that may be the last of WDW for me! The service is going downhill, the prices in the opposite direction - I wanted to save for a trip to New Zealand anyway!
