WDW Photography??/

Hi All!
My DH and I are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary in WDW with our children this January. We're wondering if Disney offers some sort of photography option, where we can hire someone to take some pictures before dinner outside the Y&BC with the Boardwalk in the background, and maybe get some shots in the restaurant of our family and of the cake?

Anyone know if this is possible, how much it would cost and who I call to arrange it?

I'm not sure if they'll do the shots you request or not, but I do not that WDW does offer personal photography services. And...DVC members get 10% off of the prices. If you look on the Resort boards there are a couple of threads dedicated to the Resort Photography package. We did the package in July at the Poly. There were 12 of us 4 different families. Our photographer took over a 150 pictures including group shots, individual family shots, couple shots, children shots. She also tooks shots both inside the lobby and outside on the beach. The price has gone up recently but it is still worth it. You prepurchase the photopass CD and then the photo session is only $50.

I don't know that they will be able to go into the restaurant with you, however I am sure your waiter would be more than happy to take a few pictures.

I think you should ask over on the Weddings/Disneymoons board.

I think the local professional photographers in the area would be more of a 'sure thing' for quality.

The Disney photographers are not always very creative and are more limited with the equipment they use. (Although some are good).

If it were me, I'd get some names of professionals in the Orlando area that can work with you.

As far as an outside photography my suggestion would be Randy Chapman.

He shot our wedding at the Wedding Pavillion/GF/Epcot in 2003. We loved his work so much that we asked him to do family portraits in 2004 Christmas time at the Boardwalk.

I couldn't remember his name before, but I've seen his work and it is absolutely stunning! If I'm ever in need of a photographer I would call him in a heartbeat--regardless of price difference!

We were 2 families in July: 1 family got the CD package at BC during the test week the other family the CD package at GF. The photographer at GF did great, and the BC wasn't as good as they were testing out locations and getting the routine down. They are probably better by now. Tons of pics at both locations and all our our Photopass photos AND the photos from the Cinderella's Royal Table Engagement Package on the cd's as well. We also got a coupon for free printed photos online. The cost for the CD and getting your own prints is a lot cheaper than buying the Disney prints online. Glad we did it.
