hi

I know this is an easy question for you pro's we need to get an annual pass for my MIL. Who is going on a cruise/wdw in Nov and a 10 trip in Oct 2011.

I have heard the prices of the WDW annual passes will go up so can I buy this now and have the start date be in Nov. Or does the start date happen when we buy it like with the premeir pass?

Thanks

We are DVC and getting the premier passes for our family..but MIL wont be going with us as much.

You can buy a voucher now to lock in your price and swap the voucher for the AP when you get to WDW.

I was confused about the end date on purchasing this pass. We have a 2010 California resident limited pass that does not expire until December 2010. And at WDW they said the new pass ends in one year from the date of purchase. fortunately my wife brought the CA passes with her. Essentially, WDW gave us a credit for the full purchase price of our CA annual pass and issued the combined CA/WDW two park pass ending a year from now bringing the price down from $720 to around $500 each.

FYI you will not get the DVC discount for your MIL unless she lives with you and has valid id showing your address.

Just did not want you to be surprised if you did not already know that.

OP you can buy your AP through the DVC website (this is what we do). You print a will call voucher and your MIL can take it to the guest relations window and turn it in with her picture ID and her DVC membership card to get her then activated AP effective the day she turns in her voucher. If she does not have a blue DVC membership card, you can go with her as long as you both have the same home address.
