About Us
We live in Maine, My grandparents have been twice (1999 & 2011), I have never been! I will be going for my 8th Birthday!
We will arrive in Orlando at 5:30 pm by airplane on October 18 and leave on November 1rst.
We are renting a house until October 25th. We are staying at Universal 1 night, October 20th at The Royal Pacific so we can go to the front of the line!!.
On October 25th we will be checking into Animal Kingdom Villas, Jambo House!
My grandmother and I will write this pre-trip report. So you will get a kids view and a grown ups!
I hope you will keep reading our report. We might miss some days because October is a long time from now, but I am really excited!​

Papa & Grammy 2011. Valentines Day, Their 25th Anniversary!

This is me! Papa paints my face alot! We are bringing the paints with us to Disney so he can paint my face there too!

We went to the library today and rented some Disney movies. We are watching Sleeping Beauty tonight. Aurora is one of my favorite Princesses We are going to Akershus for breakfast on October 24 at 8:15. Grammy said we will get to go in the park before it opens and take pictures! We might get to see Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Snow White, Aurora and Cinderella while we are eating breakfast! I am going to dress up as Aurora that morning! I hope it doesnt rain tomorrow (Saturday) because we are going to go to yard sales. I get to look for Disney stuff! My grandmother just bought a big Mickey Mouse chart for the wall and I can now earn Mickey dollars! They look like dollars and spend like dollars at WDW but they have Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse on them instead of Presidents!

No yard sales it is pouring out! So instead we are looking for Disney things we can buy for our trip... on the computer! Grammy signed up for alot of different FB pages. We have bought some pins so I can trade them with people! We sorted through all of our Disney movies last night there are tons, but there are some I lost so later we will go to the library again to find ones we dont have. This is lots of fun! I can't wait to go to Disney World!!

This is Michele (Grammy), I have been having fun "shopping" for Disney! I need to let you know that I am a big bargain shopper and hate to pay regular price for anything unless I really want it!

We have saved lots of money on our trip, but we have also spent alot. We will be staying 1 week in a house owned by my sister's friend free of charge!! On one of those nights we will stay at Royal Pacific ($300) in Universal so that we can get 2 days of front of the line passes!! We finally managed to rent DVC points at a good price so we are staying AKL for 7 nights, saving about $1200 over Disney prices, but we did not get free dining. I did not dare to wait and see if they had free dining and then with my luck no rooms would be available! We also do not eat alot. I had gastric bypass 7 years ago and my granddaughter just does not eat much.

We will be doing the Character Breakfast at Universal so she can see the Minions and Hop. We also have Akershus booked for pre-park opening so that she can meet the princesses and we can see Epcot before it opens. We have an 8:20 ressie for BOG but I am still hoping to get a lunch fastpass for that instead!

We have an Albatross Pirates Adventure cruise booked for a non-park day. We choose the one out of the Yacht Club. Brooklyn will dress up like a Minnie Mouse Pirate! While she is doing that for 2 hours my husband and I will just spend some quiet time together walking around. We have an 8:00 am Bibbidy Bobbidi Boutique booked so Brooklyn can "become" Elsa. No "real" dress, we are making one from a fancy dress and sparkly material! We do have Elsa'a crown though! We are also hoping to take some pictures of the empty park! We will be booking a Family Magic Tour also, but want to wait and see what the weather will be like when we are there. We will be going to Typhoon Lagoon one day with passes we have from 15 years ago!! We will also spend one whole day doing the Wilderness Explorer Badges in Animal Kingdom! I am even thinking about buying tickets for the new Harambe night at Animal Kingdom, but will wait to get more info....husband and I do not drink alchohol so free drinks are of no benefit to us that is why we did not do club level either. On Halloween, our last night we are going to Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party!! I just bought a Maleficent Dress at Hot Topic for myself, but it needs some additions to make it look better. I bought Brooklyn the new Aurora dress, crown and shoes from Disneystore.com and my husband will be a Goofy Pirate (I think)!

Brooklyn also has 2 other princess dresses and lots of other Disney clothes. I am not sure she will have a chance to wear them all! At Goodwill today I found the cutest red dress with white polka dots...The Perfect Minnie!! The funny thing is any other time I would not buy a dress like that, My husband says it is the best dress he has seen my wear! It cost me $4.99!! I did buy a bunch of gently used t-shirts from a FB page, but I think I am going to resell them because I have found so many cute things I cant wear them all. There is one thing I did miss out on today and I am really upset! I bought my granddaughter a Hawaiian Disney Tiki dress, and then happened to find the matching shirt on Ebay for my husband and then I found the matching dress for me, but I forgot to check the bids and lost it in the last few minutes so now I am on a hunt for that dress!! If you have one for sale in a large, PM me please!! LOL

I am so excited about our trip I could go on forever, but I have written enough for one night! Have a great evening see you next time!!

I am on a business trip in New York and I miss my granddaughter so much!
I also miss scanning the 6 Disney Facebook pages I am signed up for. I usually read about other peoples ideas or questions on the October 2014 Dis'er page! And look at all the interesting stuff for sale on the other pages. I was buying alot at first then realized I cant fit all this stuff in my suitcase. I have collected pins for my granddaughter to trade and certain ones to save.

I had asked for help getting Wilerness Explorer booklets from AK on these pages. Someone recommended Shop the Magic. I contacted them and for shipping costs they are sending me some. I also looked over their page and I know that there are a couple of things I need before my trip or before they are sold-out. Because of their willingness to send me books I will be placing my order with them.

We will be spending 1 day in AK doing the wilderness Explorer Badges, this is something my granddaughter will love to do! I wanted the booklets early because I am going to make a personalized cover for them and depending on what they are like I might do alot more to them.

I have ordered a new Disney Character Encyclopedia, these do not come out until June. We will use this for autographs along with an embroidered apron!
I am still working on where to order my t-shirts, polos and aprons. I guess I want alot embroidered on things so it is not an easy job.

So between trip planning, tshirt designs, magic band decorating, dress making, invitation sayings & printing and costume making we have alot to do still. All of these little projects should keep us busy and help pass the time until our trip! Have a great evening see you next time!!

Wednesday--Yacht Club Albatross Treasure Cruise 9:30-11:30 am, Down Town Disney

Thursday--Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach

Friday--Akershus 8:15 Epcot 9am-10pm (Illuminations 10pm)

Saturday--Check in AK Jambo Visit Wilderness Lodge, activities, Trails End Take Out-picnic, Chip-n-Dale Campfire, Movie and then watch Wishes & Electric water Pagent from waterfront.

Sunday--Bibbidy Bobbidy Botique 8am, Magic Kingdom 9am-6pm

Hollywood Studios extra hours 7-9pm

Monday--Animal Kingdom extra hours 8-9am stay until 5pm
Magic Kingdom Electric Light Parade 9pm Wishes 10pm extra hours 10-12am

Tuesday-- OPEN (Magic Kingdom tour?)

Wednesday--Hollywood Studios 9am-7pm, Parade dusk, Fantasmic 730pm Epcot 8:30 extra hours 9-11pm

Thursday--Animal Kingdom extra hours 8-9am stay until 5pm to do Wilderness Explorers Badges

Friday--MNSSHP 4pm-12am watch fireworks and 2nd parade

Saturday--Open----- Flight out at 6:30pm

We will probably eat breakfast in hotel room with mini kitchen, we will probably have a large lunch and light dinner bringing snacks and water with us. I will have a plan, but if things change I dont care I can go with the flow.
