Just returned from DL... and have to say WDW hands down. However, Summer is much more pleasant in Anaheim. Don't have the humidity FL has. So if you have to go in the Summer, my preference would be DL.

Just got back from DL last weekend after going to WDW for the past three years.

For me its a toss up. If you only have 2-3 days for the parks DL-- if you plan to spend 5 days in the parks WDW.

DL you have the MK and the FP system for all the rides are not linked so you can have more than one fast pass at the time. Also they are not strict about when you return with your fast pass, as long as it if after the earliest return time you are OK. Check the DL board here for more info. CA has many of the big attractions that the 'other' 2 parks have at WDW except Mission Space, Test Track, and RnR.

WDW has more to do with all 4 parks.

I would recommend DL for anyone's first Disney trip with young kids. The main park is physically smaller than MK, so there is less walking. Because there is less to do, there is less pressure on the family. If you spend 5 days at DL, you can have a fun, relaxing, no pressure family vacation, with plenty of time for character autographs, etc.
