WDW on Travel Channel

Oh, and when she mentioned her "favorite adult beverage" and it was the Grand Marnier Orange Slushie at France in Epcot, Beth about flipped. That's her new favorite drink by far, and she feels like she is the one that "discovered" it 2 Food and Wine festivals ago. That was when the drink was first released to the public, and it's become so popular (along with the Grey Goose Vodka Slushie, which I prefer), that they are now permanent at Epcot.

I think after the 4 Samantha Brown episodes there are going to be another 4 new ones (for a total of 8 new Disney shows) with Jeff Corwin (although I don't know why an Animal Planet host is doing Disney travel shows...lol).

Both of those drinks sound yummy! :goodvibes We haven't had either, but it's a must for our next trip! :thumbsup2

I've missed the Samantha Brown shows because of our trip to the Fort, but want to catch it this weekend. Hopefully they'll re-air them (and I'm sure they will). Are you serious about Jeff Corwin??

I just went to set mine up to record tonight's show and found that darling DH already did! Points for him!

I got a dvd recorder for xmas, recorded two shows and it has already quit working......is TIVO better? Ive never tried it, and am wondering if its more convenient that dvr's since theres no actual disc involved (the broken DVR keeps saying it cant record on the disc...Ive used several brands of discs and it wont do anything with any of them)

we have had a dvr since Sept 2007, we love it. You got to try it. never miss a second of a show when you go to the frig for refreshments again. :thumbsup2

i'm a tattletale. DW set the vcr and taped an hour of the tv guide channel instead of the travel channel. the colorful words i heard coming out of the room made even ME blush :rotfl2:

Tell her I have it and can get her a copy....

Here is a funny one...my DS4 is saying that his new favorite drink is the Grand Marnier Orange Slushie and that he is going to have one when we go to Epcot next time! I tried to tell him that little boys aren't allowed to have that, but he keeps saying, but Samantha Brown can, why can't I? Out of the mouths of babes!:lmao:

Oh, by the way, I couldn't afford ANYTHING they were doing on the splurge episode last night...I just pouted the whole episode.

I've had the TiVo for a couple of years now. I live by it. I was fortunate to get the lifetime subscription. It was pricey at the time but it paid for itself in 23 months. Occasionally TiVo has specials. Like now they have a Series2 Dual Tuner TiVo for $100. Or a refurb coupled with 1 year pre-paid service for $179.

Check out this link.

Another option might be your cable company. My cable company (Cox) rents the DVR for, IIRC, $10 a month including programming.

Hey all,

Starting at 9 (AM, I think) on Sunday, 4/27, Travel Channel is repeating the 3 shows that have aired to this point.

Disney on a Dime
Disney Splurge!
Samantha Brown's Disney Favorites.

In that order. Had to find the Splurge one again, b/c it mysteriously disappeared off the DVR.:confused3

I know a couple of you were looking for them again since you missed the first airings.

Thanks. I think I missed Disney on a Dime. Was that on last Friday? I have the other two.

Oh wow, thanks Jody, now that I have DVR, I'm going to have to tape these, woohoo!!! Great info!

I came here to bump this up with a reminder and I found this!
Guess I better look around and see what else I can find.

ANYWAY....Here's the reminder for tonight:

"Disney on a Dime"
Travel Channel
9:00 p.m. Eastern

The show follows the journeys of three different families
and shows how to make a Disney World dream vacation fit
within any budget.

Got it scheduled on the

. Thanks.

I watched Sam's Disney Fave's a couple of days ago. Also set the DVR for on a dime and splurge. Hoping they will re-air the one about the Fort.

You probably won't see the one about the Fort anytime soon, cause it was a holiday special, but I would definitely keep an eye out probably starting in October, I'm sure they'll start playing it a lot more around then.

They definitely play them in the wks before Christmas. I think they start around Thanksgiving. They had a whole bunch on the food network too, about the gingerbread houses. That was cool to see them on TV & then go see them in person. The boys (especially Ben) loved that!
