Hello,
My husband and I are going to WDW on December 31st after a Caribbean cruise (we dock in Cape Canaveral on the morning of the 31st).
I am an experienced Disneyland goer, but have only been to WDW once. We are staying at the Port Orleans Riverside.
I have a few questions.
I thought we would go to the Magic Kingdom on Monday, January 2nd with the assumption that many families will use that day as a travel day to get home and the park will be less crowded than if we tried to go on December 31st or January 1st. Does anyone know if this is a correct assumption?
I am planning on us going to the Wild Animal Kingdom on December 31st as that park may be less crowded than the Magic Kingdom & Epcot. We should get to the resort in the late morning. Do you know if this park will be less crowded than the others on New Year's Eve, during the day?
We have dinner reservations at Il Mulino at the Swan Hotel at 8:15pm on New Year's Eve.
Finally, we are thinking of going to Epcot on January 1st. I think the Magic Kingdom has a New Year's Parade, so I was hoping that would draw crowds away from Epcot. We did want to go to Hollywood Studios, but I think many attractions will be closed because of the new attractions/lands they are adding to the park. Is that correct?
Thank you for any help and/or advice you have for us.
