WDW NYE merchandise

Please talk to me about New Years Eve merchandise at EPCOT. We've been at Christmas before but never NYE, and I've heard there is special merchandise available (which I'm sure sells out quickly). What kind of merchandise is it - just a pin, or other items too? Where would I find it and how early does the shop open? I'm trying to figure out how to work into our RD plan, and make sure I get one/some without missing out on our planned rides. TIA!
