WDW... Must do attractions and activities?

Hey, everyone! It has been three years since I went to WDW. I know there have been a lot of expansions and changes since I last went. What are some must-do attractions and activities (new, old and renovated)? We will be staying at the Caribbean Beach for our first time. Are there any activities at the resort we shouldn't pass up? Also, I will be going with my best friend (we have both been to Disney over 10 tens, but we have never gone together.) Are there any "picture perfect" moments or things that we should definitely do together? Thanks! - Olivia

Well, there's the classics, Pirates of the Caribbean, the mountains(Big Thunder, Space, Splash, etc.), Buzz, Toy Story Mania, it's a small world, teacups, Test Track, that kind of thing.

You should really make time to see New Fantasyland, especially now that the new Mine Train Rollercoaster is open.

Yes do all the mountains! (They are personally my favorite) and take as much pictures as possible! The new mine train ride is awesome (I've been on it five times).

*if the sign says it's 50 minutes, it's always 15-20 minutes lower than that! have fun!!

How exciting!

I've never been to CBR, so I can't tell you if there's anything at the resort. As for the parks-

Magic Kingdom:

• Don't miss up meeting Gaston. He meets outside his tavern in New Fantasyland and everyone should experience the glory that is Gaston at least once.
• Meeting the Fairy Godmother also creates a lot of memories- she meets outside of the castle, to the right of Castle Couture and the statue of Cinderella. She's absolutely precious.
• Definitely try a Dole Whip! They're a signature item at the parks and they're amazing. Basically, they're just pineapple soft serve ice cream- but to many, they're much more than that. LOL. You can get them at Aloha Isle towards the enterance to Adventureland.
• Don't forget your free pixie dust! The Harmony Barber Shop and Castle Couture both give them if you ask politely. Harmony's pixie dust is really big, chunky pieces of metallic confetti, whereas Castle Couture's is simply glitter. Pick whichever suits you best
• Try all the "mountains". They're my favorites

Hollywood Studios:

• Buzz and Woody are a sentiment to best-friendship. You can meet/take photos with them at Pixar Palace across from Toy Story Midway Mania.
• While you're there, don't pass up Toy Story Midway Mania. LOL.
• See at least one of the shows- Beauty and the Beast is longer and a bigger stage spectacle, but The Voyage of The Little Mermaid is really cute and short if you're strapped for time.
• Make an ADR for either 50s Prime Time Cafe or The Sci-Fi Dine-In. I prefer the 50s Prime Time Cafe, but both are pretty cool.
• Meeting Mike and Sulley are also really good for photo-ops with friends. I forget where they meet, but I know they meet at HS.

Animal Kingdom:

• Make Fastpass reservations for Kilimanjaru Safaris and Kali River Rapids, because you want to experience them, but you don't want to be stuck waiting in their 80 minute lines
• I think pretty much everyone's favorite QS location in Animal Kingdom is Flame Tree BBQ. It's SO good. They serve ribs, chicken, and the likes if you're into BBQ.
• The Festival of The Lion King is my ultimate can't-miss attraction at AK. It's so good.
• Kusafiri Coffee Shop is good if you want a quick breakfast pastry/sweet snack in the afternoon.
• Take time to explore the Tree of Life! It's amazing- especially up close.

Epcot:

• The Japan Pavilion is divided into two sections: the section that sells Hello Kitty merchandise, and the section that doesn't. Spend as much time as you can there. Do the Pick-a-Pearl ceremony. Buy a bag of the shrimp-flavored chips and a bottle of marble soda. It's just a fun place to be.
• If you /only/ do one character meal this trip (but LBR, who can do just one?), try Akershus for breakfast. It was one of my favorites this trip! It's like Cinderella's Royal Table, but cheaper, and with a buffet of cold food (as well as a hot plate served family style).
• Every pavilion (or almost every one) has character. My personal favorites are Aladdin and Jasmine in Morocco, Mary Poppins/Alice in England, and Mulan in China. Epcot is good for finding characters you don't normally find in other parks
• There's a really good ice cream place in France. Try it out
• As far as Futureland goes, Soarin' can't be missed. It's really awesome.

Something I enjoy is the Carousel of Progress. It's nothing terrible exciting, but it's cool because it was done by Walt himself, and that's why I enjoy it so much

Personal Favorite is Carousel of Progress ... BUT I recommend EVERYTHING
