I just checked into them, looking to get something for my daughter's birthday in Sept. She had seen this item when we were there, but didn't want to spend that much on it ($25). I called them to see what shipping would be. I almost dropped the phone when they said $10.95!!! This is just regular shipping, not express mail or anything! Gifts of a Lifetime said they can get the bear for retail price, plus 22% shipping. That's only $5.50. How in God's name can Disney charge that much!??

Small update - I found this EXACT item on Deals At Disney on Ebay.....got it for $8.00 with $4.95 shipping!!

If you think that's expensive you should try trying to get stuff shipped to the UK from the US.

As a baseball fan in the UK I was looking at the All Star baseball caps @$24.95.
The international shipping for this item was going to be $39.95!!

So I decided not to spend $64.90 on the cap!!!

That is hardly why I buy anything online or via catelog anymore. It seems like the shipping really makes any sale item the regular price.

I remember seeing a post on here somewhere that the person paid the same for shipping as they did for the actual item. Nuts!

Unfortunately, WDW can charge a lot and get away with it. When we were there in January, I wanted the Haunted Mansion Clue game, a park exclusive. All stores were sold out, so I came home and ordered it - you're right - shipping was $10.95. But, the good news was I ordered an additional one and the shipping cost didn't go up, so it was worth it for me. Now I just have to figure out who to give the 2nd one to ...

While I agree $10.95 is a lot, shipping prices have skyrocketed in the past couple of years. Even US mail is expensive.

The $4.95 and $5.50 price that always quiet mentioned are almost downright bargains.

It used to be you could ship something under 4 lbs or so for about $5.00. Not so anymore!!

Shipping overseas via a trackable carrier like UPS DOES start at around $40.00. You can send it US mail, but it can take up to 6 weeks.

Ahhhh yes, shipping cost woes !!! I can relate to that. Being down here on a tiny speck in the middle of the ocean, we need to order things via internet or catalog regularly. Shipping costs KILL us.

are a very easy way for any mail order company to make money! $10.95 is a lot when your not spending that much, however they charged me that when I shipped home 3 Monorail boxes, so it didn't seem like much. I rarely order much from catalogs etc anymore because of the shipping. Accept LL Bean - get their Credit Card and dont pay shipping!!!
