From time to time I've seen mention of outlet stores, Walmarts, ... that offer Disney or WDW items. Can anyone tell me a few of those stores and their locations? We'll be there next week, :Pinkbounc and will love saving $$$ anyway we can!!:D
Thanks in advance, and have a wonderful day/night!!

We went to the super walmart for the first time in Jan. The store was loaded with WDW merchandise. T shirts, key chains, cups, just about any novelty you can think of! Sorry, I don't have the directions but it was close by.

Can someone answer me this please?

Surely, i can't be the only one who rarely buys anything Disney related outside of WDW???? i.e not from the discount stores and in the malls??

There are literally hundreds of stores in the WDW area that sell Disney souvenirs, mugs, towels, t-shirts, etc. The only difference is that they generally aren't allowed to say "Walt Disney World" on them. Instead, they just say "Disney" or "Florida." If you want actual WDW items, Disney has a few outlets of their own - 2 at Belz factory outlets on International Drive and one at the Orlando Premium Outlets just off I-4.

We went to a shopping center called Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores (or something like that). There was a free shuttle from our Hotel (Courtyard at Marriott) and there was a store there that had tons of disney stuff (not sure but it looked like actual Disney World merchandise) Maybe seconds or somethings but it looked fine to me. I can't remember the name of the store but it was near the food court. Sorry I can't help more.

You should absolutly check out the Character Premier stores in the outlet malls, they are fantastic. You will find incredible bargains on past season park items. Usually 50 percent off sometimes even more. For instance in April of 2002 we stayed in POR I purchased 2 resort towels deciding to start a collection from all resorts that carry them, I paid 20.00 a piece, when I was in the World again this past April, they had the very same towels in CP for 10. so yes I bought more they were a great towel. We were also there in Dec, and I bought christmas tshirts in the parks full price, 17-19 each. I also found those in CP for 4.99 for the kids so I bought bigger ones for next year. Ive gotten tanks for my kids for as low as 3.99. Its all Disney stuff, you may even see Disney store items there as well. Oh I bought an Alice dress for my DD for 9.99. DH never complains about spending a few bucks in there because you are really saving alot. I also find that I spend far less in the parks because I know I will get much more at the outlets. Dated items are usually marked pretty low, ive gotten great deals on photo albums and frames, things for myself that I dont mind having a past date, but you can certainly find things for souvineers too. I got my MIL a canvas bag with all the characters on it for 12.00. Nice gift I thought, was originally 25.00. They even had the shirts that say 2003 that are currently in the parks now, for 1/2 off. You cannot go wrong.

Have fun:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I was just at the Belz outlets last week and was thrilled with the selection at both Character Premiere and Character Warehouse (I think that's the right name). Scored some great deals, although had some regrets that some stuff I bought back in Sept. was now super cheap. Oh well. We always shop at these outlets first, picking up t-shirts and whatever. Then we go to World of Disney to pick up whatever else we "must have." We spend way less on souvies and get way more.

One word of caution though: At both Belz stores (although more so, it seems, at Character Premiere than at the Charactre Warehouse), not everything is always on sale. Some things, such as some pins, shirts, software, etc. are regular priced merchandise. You have to look for the sale tag or ask a CM if you don't see it. Many times I've seen people load up their baskets with everything in sight, not looking at the tags, only to be rudely awakened at checkout.

You should definetley make a trip to the Character Premium Outlet store. I was just there 2 days ago and found some really incredible deals. Everything you could get at the parks, and some from the resorts for almost nothing. I also got lots of Christmas items as well as several packs of Christmas cards for only $4.99 a box, which is a great price. I only spent $45 and came out with 2 huge bags full!!
