WDW Mac and Cheese.....

My husband and I have been craving that darn stuff since we left WDW in January! Why does it taste so good down there???

Does anyone have a recipe that tastes like the Disney mac and cheese? We're going to have withdrawals for the next 7 months unless I can find a way to reproduce this recipe that leaves us 30 year olds with our tongues wagging!

It's only Stouffer's at Liberty Tree Tavern, because Stouffer's is a sponser. Everywhere else on WDW property (with the exception of Jiko) it's all the same, and made from a special WDW recipe. I saw the Unwrapped Disney special and they mentioned how they tried MANY different recipes and came down to 3 that were good, and then had guests taste test them and then the winner from those taste tests was the winner.

It tastes different to me at each place we go to, though. I don't like Boma's mac and cheese, but I love Hollywood and Vine's. It might be the same recipe but perhaps they don't follow it the same at each location.

My kids got Mac n cheese of the buffets at Chef Mickey's and BOMA. They wouldn't eat it. I tasted them both and YUCK!! No wonder they wouldn't eat it!! Chef Mickey's was "mushy" and BOMA's had absolutely no taste to it at all.

I do like Stauffer's, maybe we'll have to give LTT a try sometime! LOL
